Stability and motion control add-ons are uncommon for workout shoes and are never present in CrossFit or weightlifting footwear. They are mostly found in walking shoes where the gait is easier to correct.

The Air Trainer 180 is a do-it-all training shoe from Nike which aims to be an effective option for sprinting, jumping, lifting and other types of exercises. As its name indicates, the shoe utilizes the Nike’s Max Air technology in the heel section for superior shock absorption.
The outsole unit of the Nike Air Trainer 180 makes use of deep grooves to provide intensified flexibility. This offers a natural bending of the foot and, thus, helps to improve the efficiency of rhythmic workouts.
The rubber tread pattern is placed on the outsole to reinforce the grip and overall durability of the shoe.
The pivot point on the ball of the foot aids fast and easy twists and turns, allowing for 360 degrees of movement.
