Nike SB Zoom Blazer Chukka XT History

The Nike Blazer silhouette was first released in the year 1972 as a basketball shoe which eventually became one of the brand’s most iconic sneakers. It was also popularly known to be worn by George Gervin or most commonly known as the “The Iceman.” It took its name from the Portland Trail Blazers which was an American Basketball team.

The Nike classic shoe was designed with components that are ideal for court shoes. It didn’t feature any advanced technology at the time it was first released, but its design structure managed to gain popularity and stayed relevant in the sneaker industry for the many years to come.

A high-top with a canvas upper was the first form of the sneaker, and it transitioned into a mid-top profile with leather upper construction. Eventually, a low-top version of the Blazer was introduced. Many variations of the different profiles of the sneaker were then offered by the brand, offering more choices of style for the people.

The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Chukka XT is among the silhouette’s other Nike Blazer variations that features modern innovation and trendy appearance. This chukka version of the shoe was designed by Lance Mountain, and it displays a suede upper with the Nike Zoom Air technology for its midsole construction.
