Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8 History

Paying tribute to the United’s States’ presidential plane, Nike released the Air Force 1 model in 1982. They used the “Air in the Box” slogan when they launched the AF1 and features the Air technology that primarily support the heel and for improved cushioning.

One of Nike’s shoe designers, Bruce Kilgore, created a basketball shoe design using the silhouette of hiking boots. They ventured in conceptualizing their first basketball shoe and named it the Air Force 1. It showcases a ripple pattern pivot point outsole that is suitable for the court and a slanted shaft for a better flexibility.

The production of the Nike Air Force 1 was discontinued in 1984 but it was resumed after 2 years of hiatus.  The comeback was such a hit and dominated the market during that time. Nike has been releasing almost 2000 versions of the Air Force1 since the day it was released.

The Nike Air Force 1 has been consistently in the best sellers list among all the models of Nike. It is considered the most publicized and most recognized shoe of all time. Nike hasn’t stopped releasing new versions of the Air Force 1 every now and then. The Air Force 1’s legacy just keeps on growing for every pair launched.

Just recently, Nike reignited the elements of the renowned Air Force 1 silhouette and introduced the Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8. It updated the look of the original profile with a thicker midsole and more bouncy cushioning.

Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8 Style

The premium upper of the Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8 gives it a plush look for a casual shoe. Its upper is made of premium leather, suede or textile depending on the colorway. The well-padded collar and tongue and several perforations on the forefoot makes this suitable for that all-day casual wearing. Stylists recommend wearing the AF1 07 LV8 with anything that floats the wearer’s boat. Jean, shorts or baggy pants with tees, hoodies and cap, just any comfy outfit, it is almost guaranteed they can pull it off.

Fit & Sizing

The Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8 has a foam sole that includes the encapsulated Air cushioning. It also has nice padding at the collar that delivers a snug and comfortable fit to the wearers. The insole has the Air-cushioning technology, which provides a bouncy padding. It has the traditional lace-up closure for a secure fit. The Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8 generally runs true to size. It is offered in men’s sizes from 6 to 17 US in medium width.

Notable Features

Most of the buyers noted the thick sole of the Nike Air Force 1 07 LV8. This fuller sole gives an impression that the wearer is elevated thus having a name “LV8”. Many users liked this feature as this adds a few inches up to their height.
