If you gusy want a nice performer and don't care about looks, go ahead on this. I love it.

If it weren't for the heel slippage, this shoe would be like a 9 out of 10.

Just like the modded CLB 2016, the fit is good but not great while everything else I enjoyed.

It’s the same case as with the D Rose 8 – the esthetics look completely trash, it’s like those generics from 2k, yet the performance of both of them is just stellar, phenomenal, mind-blowing, you name it.

The downfall of the Crazylight Boost 2018 is heel fit. Arguably the best Boost cushioning we’ve seen, durable traction that works indoors and outdoors, and a comfortable upper on-foot all have the makings of a borderline great shoe.

Overall, the Adidas Crazylight Boost 2018 is a really solid hoop shoe.

After one full year of Crazylight absence, Adidas once again produces an offer that continues the one-of-a-kind legacy of the famed series. The Adidas Crazylight Boost 2018 improves on the identified shortcomings of the 2016. It now provides better containment and motion support. It retains the previous models’ superb traction and cushioning.

A few might think that the Crazylight is quite expensive for a non-signature shoe. For only $115, Damian Lillard’s 5th Adidas signature shoe is a great replacement. If wearers prefer a different signature shoe from a different brand, Chris Paul’s 11th Jordan shoe was  recently released.

Cushion. The Adidas Crazylight Boost 2018 features full-length Boost in the midsole. The cushion is caged at the lateral forefoot, giving the area a more pronounced court feel. The cage-free heel provides much needed impact protection.

Traction. The outsole of the Crazylight Boost 2018 is made of a thick rubber compound. It features a unique multidirectional pattern that resembles peacock feathers. The grooves are thick enough to withstand the pressures of both indoor and outdoor courts.

Lockdown. The Adidas Crazylight Boost 2018 has a number of features that help keep the foot in place during aggressive movements. It has an effective lacing system and a sturdy external heel counter that is made of TPU. It also has a midfoot shank and arch support that help maintain the wearer’s in-motion stability. The lateral forefoot is caged so that the cushioning system can provide the necessary amount of court feel for linear and side-to-side movements.

The upper of the 2018 version of the Adidas Crazylight is made of textile to ensure breathability and flexibility. It has fuse overlays on high-wear spots like the toe box and those that surround the lace loops.  Its Achilles pillow is generously lined with foam so that it’s able to provide reliable next-to-skin comfort and support.

The Crazylight 2018 is a low-top that sports a largely monochromatic appearance. Providing aesthetic color contrasts are the iconic Three Stripes on the rear lateral side and the lace loops. The Adidas logo on the top of the tongue is also of a contrasting hue.

The Adidas Crazylight Boost 2018 is released in a number of quite straightforward colorways such as black, all-white, and red. The logos are almost always set in colors that sharply contrast  the upper’s main hue so as to create a perceptual popping effect. Below are the available colorways of these Adidas basketball shoes:

  • Cloud White/Grey/Grey
  • Core Black/Cloud White/Carbon
  • Core Black/Gold Metallic/Carbon
  • Core Black/Scarlet/Carbon
  • Crystal White/Chalk Pearl/Cloud White
  • Scarlet/Core Black/Cloud White
