Good to know
The NB All Coasts 232 is exclusively available in men’s sizing. Most of the reviews mention that this feels a little tight on the forefoot area and suggest grabbing this at least half a size up.
It is important to note, however, that skate-inspired shoes are intentionally crafted to be a little snug in the forefoot to keep the feet protected when going out and about doing one’s flips and turns. However, when worn outside the skate park, one should consider giving ample wiggle room for the toes to rest comfortably.
No matter what one decides to use their All Coasts 232 on, it features a detachable insole, which can be replaced with one’s preferred insole or orthotics for a more comfortable fit.
Taking inspiration from the coastal vibes, the AM232 exudes that laid-back lifestyle, which can be translated into one’s fashion choices.
- Look effortlessly cool and hip in the skate park when putting on a pair of loose denim jeans, a vintage shirt, a cap, and some All Coasts 232 in navy blue/turquoise colorway.
- Hanging out with friends in tattered denim, a loose crop shirt, and a pair of AM232 on the feet exude a modernized version of basic casual style.
Having a canvas and suede upper not only ensures to keep the user’s feet protected but can endure the grueling routines of every day. Perforations on the toe vamp keep one’s feet dry and odor-free while the suede affords flexibility.
The integration of the padding on the collar and tongue plus the canvas material on the quarter area of the shoe ensures protection and cushion.
Additional cushioning, through New Balance’s Fresh Foam removable insole, will keep feet protected and deliver shock-absorbing traits for an ultra-cushioned ride.
A vulc sole makes for a better board feel, while the Ndurance® rubber on the heel area enhances durability in that area, therefore, giving it long-lasting performance.
Known back then as the New Balance Arch Support Company, the company started selling flexible arch supports by founder William J. Riley.
It was not until in 1961 when the company manufactured its first footwear, the Trackster. New Balance did gain notoriety in the mainstream sneaker market until its current owner, Jim Davis, bought the company in 1972.
Since then, the Boston-based company has released not only lifestyle sneakers but expanded its horizon into performance sports. Among them is skateboarding. The New Balance Numeric collection was launched in 2013 to cater to the younger market.
Among this well-crafted footwear is the New Balance All Coasts 232, which is widely accepted by individuals who prefer versatile footwear that fits right into the category of today’s urban style of function and form.
