  • When it comes to aesthetics, much hasn’t changed in the 5th version of the Asics GT 3000 line. However, it is notable that the colorways of the recent update are toned down, allowing it to be used more casually.
  • Many of the technologies that are present in the previous version were carried over to the Asics GT 3000 5, including the well-received Dynamix DuoMax Support System and the standard AHAR rubber outsole. Yet, the Forefoot DuoMax isn’t included in the new model, which can be a downside for those who need extra support during the toe-off phases.

The Asics GT 3000 5 is considered standard when it comes to length. Men and women can expect it to accommodate their regular preferences when it comes to size. The width-profile is medium, so it is able to welcome those who have medium foot dimensions.

The shoe features the lightweight and durable Durasponge Outsole in its forefoot section, which provides enhanced cushioning in every run. It is made from a blown AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Rubber) compound with shock-absorbing properties.

The AHAR® is a durable rubber compound in the heel part of the outsole that’s meant to protect the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. It also doles out traction on urban surfaces.

The Dynamic DUOMAX Support System is an improved dual density platform with cushioning and midfoot support. It features lightweight and enhanced stability that is highly favored by late-gait overpronators.

The Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems utilize silicon-based gel in the front and back parts of the sole unit to attenuate shock upon impact. It adds an extra bounce during the toe-off phase, allowing runners to transition quickly and efficiently through the gait cycle without sacrificing comfort.

The FluidRide Midsole is a standard midsole technology from Asics. Its cushioning and bounce-back properties aim to improve the user’s speed and efficiency without the bulk. It has been constructed to last longer.

The shoe is incorporated with a Gender Specific Cushioning. It essentially allows users to have adequate and agreeable underfoot experience. The top layer of the women’s version’s cushioning unit has a lower density, therefore midsole compression is more prominent.

A Guidance Line is strategically added to the midsole to heighten the efficiency of the runner’s gait. This vertical groove is a flexible line that reduces the likelihood of injury when running.

The Guidance Trusstic System Technology strengthens midfoot structural integrity, resulting in better shoe durability. Gait efficiency is further enabled because this tech is integrated with the Guidance Line.

The Asics GT 3000 5 features the Impact Guidance System (IGS) design which encourages natural foot motion when running. This results in a more efficient and healthier gait from heel strike to toe-off. The IGS is also present in the GT 2000 7, which is one of the brand's most popular shoes.

The Comfordry Sockliner adds to the overall midsole cushioning of the shoe. It also boasts anti-microbial properties, which allow runners to skip the socks for better ground feel.

A breathable mesh material is used for the upper unit of the Asics GT 3000 5. It makes sure to allow air into the foot-chamber, thus maintaining a well-ventilated environment for the runner.

Aside from better support, the Heel Clutching System Technology of the shoe enhances stability and running performance. It keeps the heel in place and reduces excess movement. Runners can expect a secure and cushioned feel from this shoe.

The independently placed Discrete Eyelets allow a snugger fit and reduce lace tension. These provide a customized fitting environment without sacrificing comfort.
