Updates to Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam

  • In 2014, a niche market called athleisure was starting to boom. This market targets women who purchase shoes and apparel for both exercise and fashion. The Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam falls into this athleisure category. It is designed to keep up with the grueling demands of gym workouts, yet it looks stylish for everyday wear.
  • The shoe features Adidas’ proprietary Cloudfoam technology, which promises to deliver a very comfortable footbed.
  • The non-marking rubber outsole is durable and provides adequate traction on most types of surfaces so it can keep up with the versatile woman.
  • The upper uses a breathable mesh material that keeps the foot fresh by allowing heat to dissipate.

Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam size and fit

The Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam is only available for women and typically runs true to size. The width is offered in a B – Medium width option.

Outsole

The Arianna Cloudfoam uses rubber in its outsole. This compound is durable, flexible and capable of offering traction on most surfaces. It is also non-marking, which means that it won’t leave scuff marks on the floor.

It features a multi-directional tread pattern that increases the surface area. It improves the traction capability of the outsole.

Flex grooves in the forefoot area facilitate the natural bending of the foot, thus enabling a well-rounded step.

Midsole

The Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam features the Cloudfoam technology, a type of ethylene-vinyl acetate foam (EVA) that absorbs shock to keep the foot comfortable. It is durable, resilient and reactive to the movements of the foot.

The EVA foam extends to the medial and lateral sides of the upper. This structure delivers support for side-to-side movements.

According to Adidas, the molded foam insole of the Arianna Cloudfoam supports both the heel and arch, offering a bit more cushioning where it’s needed.

Upper

The Adidas Arianna Cloudfoam uses mixed textile for the upper. A breathable mesh ensures that the inside stays well-ventilated, keeping the foot cool during workouts. A different fabric is used in the side panels to give the shoe structural support.

It utilizes a traditional lacing system with round laces. The laces pass through a single slot on the tongue that keeps it from moving out of place while in motion.

The collar and tongue are both padded to add a bit of cushioning to the top and back portions of the foot. The collar also helps in preventing accidental removal of the footwear while in use.

A pull tab at the back of the collar makes it easy for the user to slide the foot inside this trainer.

A smooth fabric lines the inside of the Arianna Cloudfoam. It hides the seams to deliver an excellent in-shoe feel. It also makes the footwear easier to put on or take it off.
