Size and fit

The NB331 is exclusively available in men’s sizing. Like most of New Balance’s skate-inspired sneakers, the forefoot feels a little narrow as typical skateboarding footwear should be. This is to secure one’s feet while doing some flips and kicks, yet be able to get a good feel of the board.

Whether one decides to skate in it or not, most reviews recommend getting a half size up, depending on one’s snug preference.

New Balance All Coasts 331 Style

Having the makeup of classic sneaker design, coupled with basic color schemes of black, white, navy blue, grey, and red, choosing outfits to go with the NB AM 331 is a no-brainer.

  • Men can put on pair of black cotton work pants with a slim-fit charcoal green button-down shirt and a couple of All Coasts 331 in Navy/White/Gum hue.
  • For a summer-ready look, both men and women can wear the NB All Coasts 331 sockless with chino shorts and a white top for a laid-back vibe.

Notable Features

Depending on the colorway, some variations come in a suede-canvas or all-canvas upper. A New Balance trademark through the Ndurance® textured gum rubber outsole provides superior grip and maximum durability in high areas of the shoe.

The textile-lined footbed, combined with New Balance’s Fresh Foam gives the wearer the utmost comfort, soft, and shock-absorbing components.

To curb those robust patterns and ollies, the NB All Coasts 331 features a vulcanized cup sole and rubber sidewall, and a multi-layered to cap for added sturdiness and protection.

New Balance All Coasts 331 History

New Balance has come a long way since starting out as selling orthotics in 1906 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Known internationally as a sneaker brand, New Balance has expanded its horizon and ventured into the sport of skateboarding in 2013 under its New Balance Numeric collection to cater to the younger market.

Among this well-crafted footwear is the New Balance All Coasts 331, which is well-received not only by the lover of the sport but ordinary individuals who want to don on a sleek sneaker that fits right into the street-style laid-back culture of today.

Nice to know

  • “N” branding, in leather, is stitched on both sidewalls.
  • Most of the colorways have reflective heel details along with the NB logo on it.
