The Adidas VRX Cup Low shoes for men are available in US 6-14. Looking at the brand's website, it suggests ordering .5 sizes larger, which based on the feedback provided a better fit. The plush and soft leather upper almost feels like canvas, making it easy to prop the shoe like a slip-on. The lace-up closure aids users in having a customizable fit which comes in handy especially when used for skateboarding.

When it comes to sneakers, its inspiration plays a significant role in its aesthetics. It is the case with the Adidas VRX Cup Low shoes. Getting its influences from basketball shoes that reigned when skateboarding was at its peak, the VRX got the best of all worlds. The result is a retro and timeless shoe that is versatile and made to be worn on the streets.

The low-top construction makes it seamlessly pair with different outfits. Achieving different looks are also possible thanks to the neutral color selection of these sneakers which include black and white. Pairing it with pants and a button-down shirt would complete a more dressed up look like for dinner or for going out. Dressing it down is also possible. To achieve this look, pair it with shorts or joggers and a plain tee.

Because of its style influences, it is evident that some of the features of the shoe pay tribute to skateboarding. Comfort and durability are among the few qualities that top the Adidas VRX Cup Low's list, and it is evident, not only on the materials used but on the way the shoe is constructed.

The upper is made of leather, stitched with different layers to not only protect certain parts of the feet but to boost the sneaker's durability as well. Though not intended for skateboarding, these kicks sport a double cupsole construction to enhance stability and allow a smoother ride while on the board.

Starting early by 1924, avid sports fan Adolf "Adi" Dassler along with his brother, set out on a mission of building a company to provide the best possible sporting equipment to the market. The company was then called the Dassler Brothers Shoe Company, and they manufactured leather shoes with studs and track shoes with spikes.

Since the start of the company, combining fashion and function has always been on its blood. One of the significant attributes of their shoes was the two stripes on the medial and lateral side, which in turn, became the company's distinction that came in use on sportive events.

World War II affected the business and the relationship of the Dassler Brothers. Separating ways in 1947, Adi Dassler built a fresh company and registered Adidas, a wordplay of his name, and the Three Stripes, which is basically just an additional line from its initial branding. The mission was the same as before, but one of its best releases are football shoes with screw-in studs.

As the company grew, Adidas continued to deliver products that help athletes carry out their best work. The diversification of sports didn't hinder the brand but helped it expand its product offerings. Adidas continued to deliver top-notch products and has become a household name for any athletic arena.

Aside from performance sneakers, Adidas also dominated the lifestyle sneakers category. One of its recent releases under this division is the Adidas VRX Cup Low sneakers, a skate-inspired shoe that gets style notes from the past.

  • These Adidas skateboarding-inspired sneakers are available in three colorways - Core Black/Scarlet, Core Black/White, and White/Black.
  • Although not part of the Adidas Skateboarding line, the shoe is called the Adidas Skateboarding VRX Low by some retailers.
  • A mid-top version of this shoe is also available. It is called the Adidas VRX Cup Mid and it comes in neutral colorways like Core Black/FTWR White/FTWR White and FTWR White/FTWR White/Gum4.
