Adidas Tubular Entrap History
With the desire to innovate hoop shoes, Adidas released the Tubular in 1993 as a basketball sneaker. Considered to be way ahead of its time, the pair wasn’t received well by sneakerheads as they were not ready to deviate from the norm. As a result, the Tubular was shelved just two years later.
Fast-forward to 2014, Nic Galway, the brand’s VP decided to resurrect the Tubular and was introduced in an all-new silhouette dubbed as the “Tubular Runner.” According to Galway, the Tubular Runner is the result of half a decade of research. The designers aim to make a shoe that seamlessly combines sports and style. It was worn by A-list celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and A$AP Rocky.
Soon after, the Tubular range began to grow exponentially by releasing different models and iterations. It now comes in low, mid, and high-top silhouettes. One of these iterations is the Adidas Tubular Entrap, which is exclusively built for the women. It comes in different upper material depending on the shoe’s colorway.
Adidas Tubular Entrap Style
The Adidas Tubular Entrap flawlessly blends aggressive design with the Tubular line’s signature minimalism. The shoe’s different upper materials and colorways add texture and style to any casual ensemble. Its silhouette is very on-trend and would look great with almost every clothing staple. Pair it with shorts, skirts, jeans, joggers, or dresses, and it could just be the perfect finishing piece to tie your look together.
Fit & Sizing
The Adidas Tubular Entrap is only available in women’s sizes. The ladies can choose from sizes 5 to 13. The shoe is said to run a bit smaller than the usual sizing so fitting it in person is best recommended.
The Adidas Tubular Entrap is available in different upper materials depending on the shoe’s colorway. The upper is either crafted from mesh or neoprene with a mélange of textured overlays for structure. An elastic heel strap adds a stylish accent to the shoe’s overall aesthetic. Lastly, a pull-tab is strategically placed on the tongue to aid in wearing the shoe.
