Promising a sock-like fit and an improved structure, the Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu V2 by Adidas generally runs true to size. While some people with wide feet might find it a bit narrow, going half to full-size up will immediately solve this issue. 

The Tennis Hu V2 also has a regular lace closure fully secured by a reinforced eyelet and side guard which are improvements from the previous version to add more structure and contain the foot.  The sneaker comes in sizes 6 to 14 for men and 5 to 13 for women. Half-sizes are also offered for an accurate fit.

The Adidas Originals x Pharell Williams sneakers are meant to stand out. Proof of this is the huge selection of bright and vibrant colorways this latest sneaker offering.  What appeals most to users is the huge selection of colorways that these stylish shoes are available.

The vibrant Tennis Hu V2 colorways, which the Pharrell Williams collection are known for, are available all year round. However, given its bright and often bold hues, these standout kicks in yellow, red, and green are best worn during the spring and summer months. Pair them with shirts as tops and chinos, shorts and joggers at the bottom for an athletic look.

Colorways like the Adidas Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu V2 in black or white monochromatic colorways are more versatile and apt for any other season. Wear them with hoodies, loose shirts, jeans, and joggers for a street-style flair all year-round.

Aesthetically an upgrade from the previous version, the Adidas Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu V2 has a slightly upgraded upper. One main difference from its predecessor is the use of the brand’s signature Primeknit material. As opposed to mesh in the previous iteration, Primeknit is more durable, breathable, and lightweight. 

Adidas designers also addressed one major complaint on the Adidas Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu shoe’s lack of structure and support. Instead of being a flat piece upper, the sides of the now feature a suede cap for additional support. Leather material is also used to secure the eyelets and provide structure and reinforcement.

Retained from the previous version was the embossed Pharrell x Adidas Hu leather branding on the tongue and at the back heel.

Since 2016, the Adidas x Pharrell Williams collaboration started with the NMD Human Race designs that have since been anticipated by the sneaker community. The design aesthetics of Pharrell Williams on the Adidas silhouette are often characterized by vivid colors and palettes that depicts the creativity of the musician.

As part of the Pharrell x Adidas Humans of the Earth collection, it generated more than just style but in helping raise awareness about environmental impact. While the Pharrell Williams x Adidas Human Race NMD   often seen as the frontrunner of the Pharrell collaboration, it was the Tennis Hu, the low-cost version which came out in 2017, that was seen as the more laidback and popular collaborative design. 

While some people seem to have that love-hate relationship with the Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu, it became a bestseller that a follow-up to the 2017 release was dropped July 2018 as an upgrade to the earlier version. The Adidas Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu V2 addressed the lack of structure, poor choice of material, and stability issues of the earlier model. Now using a durable and breathable knit material in the upper, the design also included leather eyestays and a suede cap for the needed support. It came in a multitude of summer-fall friendly colors. A follow-up release in 2019 also featured tonal and monochromatic white and black colorways.
