Unlike the other NMD sneakers that are composed of a Primeknit upper, the Adidas NMD_C2 kicks are made of a pigskin Nubuck upper which not only delivers a premium look but provides a different feel on how the shoe fits. Since these sneakers deviate from the customary sock-like fit granted by earlier Primeknit coverages, it offers a roomier toe room which can be appreciated by those who have wide feet.

For those who have narrow feet, it is recommended to go down half a size down to get a better fit. The NMD C2 by Adidas is offered exclusively for men and is being provided in US sizes ranging from 5-14. Women wishing to avail these sneakers can go down 1.5 sizes down for an optimum fit.

The Adidas NMD gets a reinterpretation, this time, a more formal look for the NMD_C2. As with all the NMDs, the details are noticeable and create purposeful accents on the shoe. Despite exuding a rougher silhouette, the pigskin nubuck on the upper and the leather accents create a more premium and luxe vibe. The side panels have side perforations with reflective 3M underlays. The laces also get a reflective accent, giving the sneaker an edgier vibe day and night.

Coming in two colorways- simple brown and core black, the NMD_C2 are versatile and can be styled in different ways. Below are some of the possible ways to design this Adidas Originals NMD C2 sneaker.

  Adidas NMD C2 Simple Brown

It is ideal to pair these with jeans and a button-down for a more formal look. However, pairing it with shorts and a simple shirt can give it a casual and laid-back vibe. You may swing this style with a pair of white chinos, olive military jacket for a casual daytime stylish wear.

If you find white bottoms too bright, and you’d prefer a colored shade, you may switch your white chinos with a khaki one, team it up with a denim jacket. Or get a bit edgier with a bold plaid, rolled-up long sleeve, olive quilted gilet and a set of black tapered pants.

For an appropriate university getup, mix this chukka-built sneaker with pin-rolled jeans, white shirt, and a black and white varsity jacket or a hooded flannel jacket. If you’re not into layering your clothes, go for a light-toned wool sweater, a tight pair of pants, and finish off your look with a brown sling bag and a brown leather watch.

For a classic chic look, you may try merging this NMD C2 Simple Brown sneaker with pin-rolled navy jeans, cocoa-colored long sleeve shirt under a tan barn coat. If you wish to have a more elevated look for a casual business conference or meeting, a special lunch date, or after work night out with friends, pair this brown chukka sneaker with a tight, midnight blue pants, pale blue buttoned-up polo, and a hazel-colored blazer.

Give yourself a more dapper vibe by wearing a tanned leather belt. Switch those jeans with a tailored fitting blue trouser and crisp suit, and still get the same debonair style.

  Adidas NMD C2 Black Suede

The timeless appearance of the chukka-inspired Adidas NMD C2 Black with a pig suede upper and gum outsole makes it inherently casual yet also suitable for informal business affairs. You may don this low-top, reimagined Adidas Originals NMD sneaker every day along with charcoal ripped jeans and a denim blue jacket; burgundy chinos and a carbon long sleeve shirt; and slim-fitting pants and a field jacket.

The blend of a black moto jacket, wine-red long sleeves, and charcoal jeans offer a chic appearance. Try pairing up a black crew-neck sleeve shirt, tapered denim pants and this NMD C2 Black Suede for that seriously stylish look without putting much effort in mixing and matching your outfits.

For a sharp image that’s workable from the office to the pub, you may merge a white crew-neck sweater and olive chinos. You may also blend this with navy jeans and black overcoat and get the same smart and neat vibe.

The Adidas NMD went through significant upgrades with the drop of the C2 variation. However, this design retained the time and tested NMD accent, notably the Boost midsole. This shock absorbing unit has been consistent throughout the NMDs, and it has been made this way for a reason. Boost is the most responsive cushioning system by Adidas, giving it a bounce-like effect and providing a higher level of energy return.

Although released only in 2015, the Adidas NMD has been the brand's most popular and best-selling sneakers. More than garnering the reputation as "cool kid" sneakers, the NMDs are backed up with technologies and are one of the first Adidas Originals to carry the Boost technology that everyone loves.

These sneakers connect the past and the future. With a name that stands for "Nomad," it represents today's generation of people who are always on the move. Given this concept in mind, the NMDs also carry a minimalist design wherein each of the shoe elements has a purpose.

The concept of the Adidas NMD is the brainchild of Nic Galway, a veteran design innovator of the Three Stripes brand. At the time of the NMD’s conception, Galway was the VP of Global Design of Adidas. Galway’s non-fashion background, whose career was initially pegged on automotive design, brought in a bright and fresh outlook to the large sportswear brand.

Apart from the NMD, the world has come to know Galway through his creative masterworks such as the Tubular, Pure Boost, Y-3, among others. He was the leading man behind some of the top-selling Adidas silhouettes through partnerships with the likes of Kanye West, Stella McCartney, Rick Owens, Raf Simons, Pharrell Williams, Yohji Yamamoto, and Alexander Wang.

Throughout the years, the Adidas NMD has gone through different variations. In 2017, the famous Nomad obtained a well-appointed, chukka-style treatment which was launched on October 20, 2017.

The new look traded out the customary textile and knitted cover in place of the supple, pigskin suede while retaining the crowning glory of the NMD lineage, the Boost midsole. The NMD C2 sneakers surfaced in Simple Brown/ Core Black and Core Black/Gum colorways.

  • The neoprene heel insert provides more comfort and protection to the feet.
  • The signature NMD EVA plug is incorporated into the Adidas NMD_C2. It delivers support and stability for a smooth ride.
