Good to know

While most skate shoes are known to have a traditional lace-up closure, the Adidas Matchcourt CF makes a distinction with its Velcro straps. The Velcro closure is easily adjustable and convenient for on and off wearing. Worry not about a loose fit, as this shoe features hidden elastic tongue bands for a snug and secure fit. The bands also prevent the tongue from sliding off to the sides.

The Matchcourt is recognized for its stripped-down profile – and the same goes for this Velcro rendition. Do not expect ample padding as the Matchcourt CF does not feature any foam padding around its collar and tongue. The insoles, on the other hand, are molded PU for impact protection and cushioning.

The Adidas Matchcourt CF is not like any typical skate shoe out there. It flaunts a Velcro closure instead of laces that gives the Matchcourt silhouette a fresh look.

This low-top skate shoe features a plush suede upper in neutral tones that quickly elevates any sporty get-up. It radiates a casual, athletic, and laidback look that's fit for daily use, whether skating or not. The clean-looking upper with Three Stripes side reinforcement sits atop a white sole unit with an Adidas Matchcourt branding at the heel.

Patterned after the DNA of the well-received Adidas Matchcourt skate shoes is the Adidas Matchcourt CF. The difference between the two is clearly evident. While the original Matchcourt sports a traditional lace closure, the Matchcourt CF opts for three Velcro straps that secure the foot. The Adidas Matchcourt CF also features the Matchcourt’s signature prominent rubber toe cap reinforcement for extra durability.

Like popular skate shoe brands, Adidas also formed its sub-brand that caters to the skate community in the form of the Adidas Skateboarding. The Adidas Skateboarding is the Three Stripes brand responsible for manufacturing, from the design process down to the marketing, of performance skate shoes that amateur and professional skateboarders can use for skateboarding.

In 2016, Adidas Skateboarding introduced the Adidas Matchcourt into the skate community and sneaker market as a skate shoe that pays homage to the brand’s classic court heritage. Designed with a sturdy upper with a reinforced rubber toe cap, the Matchcourt quickly made it into one of the most versatile skate shoes that can withstand longer every wear and tear of the sport.

An enhanced version of the Matchcourt dropped the following year, called the Adidas Matchcourt RX. Eventually, Adidas introduced more and more updated versions of the Matchcourt, and one of these is the Adidas Matchcourt CF. The Matchcourt CF is the Velcro variation of the original Matchcourt.

  • The Adidas Matchcourt CF also features a comfortable textile lining and molded PU sockliner for extra comfort.
  • The grippy rubber outsole of this shoe features pivot points for grip and movement transitions.
