Adidas EQT Racing ADV History
Moving away from the over-consumption era of the 1980s, Adidas got a hold of everything and started fresh and straightforward. Peter Moore, the newly hired designer, who was the brainchild of the famous Air Jordan I, got tired of the way things got marketed in the dawn of the 90s and created something essential. He and Adidas conceptualized a shoe that has a multitude of function and radiates the saying "everything that is essential, nothing that is not."
Released in 1991, the Adidas EQT Line tackled every suppressing issue of cultural clashes and mainstream materialism. The shoe was designed to be worn in any kind of sport possible, may it be running, football, basketball, and many more. This innovation was made possible by the Adidas Torsion system which is attached to the base of the mid-foot. The Torsion shank enables an independent movement of the forefoot and the rearfoot while delivering a revolutionary level of support and stability for the mid-foot. The Torsion System acts as a bridge which caters high level of arch support and maintains a smooth heel-to-toe stride.
The introduction of the EQT line served as a turning point for Adidas in the time where other companies were overtaking their sales. Several models of the line were released like the EQT Support, EQT Guidance 93', EQT Cushion, and the EQT Racing 93'. Each one was manifesting a different advantage over the other that is purposed to be sported in many activities. The spontaneous release of the shoes made a mark at the early point of the last decade of the century before the company lost its shimmering glow later in the sneaker ethos.
Many years have passed by since the sales slump, but now, the world was astonished by a newly invented Adidas that retook the world by storm with its lifestyle-centered approach. Resurfacing form the archive was the Adidas EQT Racing ADV, which was remastered and was now intended to cater to women's feet. The shoe was scheduled for release in 2017.
Adidas EQT Racing ADV Style
Garnering a low top form, the Adidas EQT Racing ADV favors numerous outfit combinations with its prime function and sleek style. Its versatile outlook also enables it to perform in vast activities but centering mostly in active footwear. It can be combined with casual skirts to more formal wear like dresses. Wearing it with sweatpants while running and in gyms is also fashionable.
Fit & Sizing
The Adidas EQT Racing ADV refurnished the Racing 93's system of lacing and assembled it with a contemporary twist for a secure fit. A burrito style tongue provides a snugger fit and also easy access. The shoe is made available for women's sizes ranging from 5-11.
Several features of the Adidas EQT Racing ADV were upgrades of its original model. One of this is the colored heel counter that extends to the last two eyelets at the top which adds support to the back part of the shoe. The sneaker also is installed with a stretch knit upper for breathability and comfort. A Racing 93-inspired lacing system is also present with fastened textile extensions of the lace tucked in the midsole. The shoe also adapted the original TPU equipment logo on the mid shank as well as the Torsion System of support.
- The midsole is composed of a compression molded EVA material.
- The shoe is also installed with an OrthoLite® footbed for preventing odors while catering ample cushioning.
- The outsole is comprised of two separate rubbers at the toe part and the heel for durability and traction.
