Adidas Crazy 1 ADV Primeknit History

NBA is home to many exceptional athletes, but throughout the history of the sport, there are only a few that we can consider as legends. One of which is Kobe Bryant who bears a long list of achievements throughout his career. Some of his accomplishments include winning the 2008 MVP Award for LA Lakers, being the youngest All-Star in NBA at the young age of 19, and surpassing Michael Jordan for third all-time on the NBA scoring list in 2014, among others.

His conquests cannot be easily dismissed and captured the attention of footwear giant like Adidas. The brand designed a couple of sneakers, but it wasn't until the release of The Kobe, also known as, the Crazy 1, where things hit off. Released in 2000, the Crazy 1 is remembered by many as the original space boots. Inspired by the Audi TT Roadster, it has an upper that is uniquely molded making it a one-of-a-kind style that cannot be missed. One of its more recent releases is the Crazy 1 ADV Primeknit.

Adidas Crazy 1 ADV Primeknit Style

Patterned after its predecessor, the Adidas Crazy 1 ADV Primeknit exudes the same characteristics of being a risk-taker and futuristic. This footwear, however, only utilizes more modern materials like its Primeknit upper. Currently, there are four renditions of this footwear—triple white, silver, all black, and black and purple. To let the design and the unique mid-top silhouette do the talking, it is best to pair these with joggers or shorts and a simple shirt.

Fit & Sizing

The Crazy 1 ADV Primeknit is a men's sneaker that is offered in sizes that measures from 5-13. The Primeknit upper wraps the foot and adapts to its movement. The security of the feet is reinforced with rope laces and tongue that extends beyond the ankles, keeping the feet snug and in place.

Notable Features

The return of the Crazy 1 isn't as crazy as its predecessor even though it still exudes the same ultramodern vibe despite the change in some of the materials. Primeknit, instead of the previous molded leather upper, is one of the changes that can easily be seen. Not only to make the shoes look and feel more modern, Primeknit is a digitally weaved one-piece material that delivers lightweight comfort while simultaneously using few materials and less waste.

Additional Info

  • The Adidas Crazy 1 ADV provides lightweight cushioning because of its EVA midsole.
