Good to know

As a unisex silhouette, the Adidas 424 SC Premiere is offered in both men’s and women’s sizing. Built with the combination of full-grain leather and suede upper, this shoe gives a durable and comfortable feeling on foot and its lace-up enclosure offers an adjustable fit. Its low-top structure provides enough freedom for some ankle movement.

Adidas and 424 keep things minimalistic for their version of the Adidas SC Premiere yet they didn’t sway from letting it stay as a stylish sneaker. With its monochromatic colorways in black and in white with the contrasting red “424” branding on the tongue, the sneaker delivers flexibility, giving wearers ease in styling up.

Tips On Wearing The Adidas 424 SC Premiere

Since this low-top sneaker is naturally versatile, you can keep your look stylish, no matter what your mood is. You can try some of these styling tips:

                 For Men:

  • T-shirt and jacket pairing with slim-fitting jeans.
  • T-shirt or pullovers and a pair of straight cut jeans folded at the bottom.
  • Hoodie and joggers combo.

                 For Women:

  • Peasant blouse and high-waisted shorts or jeans.
  • Spaghetti strap cropped top with a pair of high-waisted shorts and jeans.
  • Cute mini dress.
  • Oversized hoodie or t-shirt and shorts.
  • A simple tee and cropped skinny jeans.

One of the eye-catching parts on the design of the Adidas 424 SC Premiere is the black 424 branding on a red tag placed on its tongue on both of the black and the white colorways. It is indicating the brand’s collaboration with the LA-based streetwear brand, 424. The model mainly preserves the entirety of the design of the OG SC Premiere with the same leather upper, the wave detailing on its panels, and the notably big midsole.

Initially established as a footwear brand dedicated to providing top-quality, performance footwear for athletes and various types of sports, Adidas also managed to build a solid name in the lifestyle category. The gigantic brand introduced the “Adidas Originals,” a collection that is mainly dedicated to the “heritage” products of the brand.

One of the most notable trademarks of the collection is the Trefoil logo in which, since 1997, was exclusively used only for the heritage products of the brand. References on the designs of the products under this sub-brand are mostly taken from the past eras of the brand, going back to the 1940s up until around the 1980s. Adidas also takes inspiration from various sports such as soccer and basketball.

The Adidas SC Premiere and its Variations

In 2019, Adidas introduced the Adidas SC Premiere, an archive-inspired silhouette in which its design is based off on the 40 years of the brand’s court shoes. It presents a clean, minimalist design that exudes the vintage-inspired appeal.

During the FW19, the Trefoil brand joined forces with West Coast’s streetwear label,  424, and gave the SC Premiere silhouette a little twist on its appearance. Already known for being minimal, the 424 collaboration product went all monochromatic on its design in an all-off white and all-black colorways.

  • A subtle, laser-engraved “424” branding on the midsole of the Adidas 424 SC Premiere can be observed.
  • A red Adidas Trefoil branding is displayed on the heel of the sneaker.
  • The shoe comes with flat laces.
