Features of the Salomon Sense Ride 3 GTX Invisible Fit

The Salomon Sense Ride 3 GTX Invisible Fit is equipped with trail-specific features that aim to provide a balance of comfort and protection. It is the waterproof version of the Salomon Sense Ride 3, which is also suitable for various trail adventures.

Gore-Tex Invisible Fit™ technology is integrated into the upper. This material effectively prevents the water from entering the shoe to keep the foot dry and comfortable. It is coupled with a single layer mesh fabric that offers a breathable wrap and supportive fit. The combination of these upper materials made this edition more comfortable and durable compared to the original version.

This neutral running shoe utilizes the Optivibe™ midsole for responsiveness and comfort. It is a new midsole technology that delivers protection and plush cushioning. The Contagrip® MA outsole is also used for excellent traction on both wet and dry surfaces.

Size and fit

This Salomon trail running shoe is available in standard sizing measurement. With the way the upper unit is constructed, a comfortable and snug fit is sure to be experienced by the user. This shoe also utilized the Quicklace™ system that does not only allow for easy on and off but also offers an adjustable fit.

Other factors that affect the fit of the shoe are the insole and tongue. These elements are contributors to the attainment of a secure and comfortable in-shoe feel.

The designers included the Contagrip® MA outsole that performs well on a variety of surfaces. This element balances both the rubber compound and geometry to deliver stability on dry, wet, hard, or loose surfaces. It also offers long-term durability and protects the foot against sharp rocks and other abrasive elements.

A responsive midsole material called Optivibe™ technology is used in this lightweight running shoe. It is made from a combination of foams that help reduce vibration upon footstrike. This cushioning technology is responsible for minimizing muscle fatigue for optimal comfort and performance.

The Profeel Film is also included for added protection. It is a thin thermal plastic unit (TPU) that helps filter out sharp surfaces for a comfortable running experience.

Providing an extra layer of cushioning is a molded OrthoLite® insole that is positioned above the Optivibe™ midsole. This component matches the contours of the user’s foot, providing superior cushioning, breathability, and durability.

A unique assembly process builds the waterproof membrane called Gore-Tex Invisible Fit™ technology. This component is incorporated into the outer material of the upper unit for a light and traditional mesh feel. The single-layer mesh under the Gore-Tex Invisible Fit™ membrane offers breathability and targeted support.

For maximum comfort, the EndoFit™ technology is featured in the shoe. It is an internal fit sleeve that is designed to hug the foot in exactly the right places to deliver a customized fit. This technology is also used in the Salomon Sense Ride 2

A textile lining is included in the stitch-free upper for a softer and more breathable in-shoe feel. The SensiFit™ overlays are also used, cradling the foot from the midsole to the lacing system for a secure and snug fit.

The Quicklace™ system is utilized for easy on and off. These shoelaces are crated from durable Kevlar fibers, which help provide a secure and customized fit. A lace pocket is also included for easy storage for the Quicklace™ lacing system. To protect the top of the foot from lace bite, a padded tongue is included in the shoe.
