- The New Balance Fresh Foam Rise is a lightweight running shoe that features a blown rubber outsole. This air-injected rubber outsole offers a more lightweight and soft feel when running. This also helps protect the shoe from abrasive elements when running.

- The midsole of the Fresh Foam Rise integrates full-length Fresh Foam, which is a lightweight yet highly bouncy foam that helps in providing added cushioning to the shoe without adding on weight. 

- The upper of the shoe is built with engineered mesh that offers breathability, flexibility, and snug fit when running. 

- This neutral running shoe also features a removable Ortholite® premium footbed which is made out of recycled rubbers and polyurethane materials that helps in providing comfort when running. 

The New Balance Fresh Foam Rise is available in men’s and women’s versions following the standard sizing scheme. One of the technical elements directly affecting the fit of the shoe is its lace-up fastening system, which is also common in most running shoes. The padded ankle collar and tongue are also incorporated into the shoe, which helps in adding support.

The Fresh Foam Rise offers moderate arch support, which caters to runners with medium to high arches.

The outsole of the Fresh Foam Rise is made out of blown rubber outsole. This provides a lightweight feel when running, and it helps protect the shoe from any abrasive elements when running. It is also known for its flexible property. 

The shoe also features outsole flex grooves that allow the runner to move more freely. 

The Fresh Foam Rise integrates Fresh Foam midsole that helps in delivering a more natural ride when running. This technology also provides a lightweight feel on foot. This technology also adds more cushioning to the shoe, thus providing added comfort.

The upper of the New Balance Fresh Foam Rise uses an engineered mesh which is also found in shoes, such as the Adidas Ultra Boost and Asics GT 1000 7. It gives that feel of breathability and flexibility when running. 

A padded ankle collar and tongue with a soft fabric lining are also added to the shoe to provide extra comfort. 

To secure the fit of the shoe when running, a lace-up fastening system is employed on the shoe. This lacing system also provides a lightweight feel to the shoe.
