  • The Brooks Cascadia 13 is a neutral running shoe same as the Brooks Caldera 3 is meant for neutral pronators. It is part of a series that focuses on off-road adventures. It has a midsole unit that focuses on providing form-fitting cushioning and balance over the irregular surfaces. Moreover, a protective shield ensures a safe run.
  • An environment-friendly rubber graces the outsole unit. It’s designed to ensure traction over the topography. A Pivot Post System steadies the foot and keeps it engaged.
  • On the upper is a moisture-wicking fabric that’s meant to maintain a cool and dry interior environment for the foot. It is supported by thin printed overlays that also stave off mud and mild splashes. The upper isn’t waterproof or resistant to absorption, but it’s made to function well on the sloshy terrains.

The Brooks Cascadia 13 is a bit larger than most shoes, so it is recommended to get one that’s half-a-size smaller to enjoy a pleasant in-shoe experience. It is also wise to try on the product first before making a purchase. Widthwise, the options for men are D – Medium and 2E – Wide; for women, the B – Medium variant is the one that’s available.

The outsole unit of the Brooks Cascadia 13 makes use of the HPR Green, a compound that’s responsible for providing traction over the surfaces. It’s designed to function well on dry or slippery ground. Also, it was born out of environmental-friendly materials.

Aggressive gripping lugs heighten the grip capacity of the external pad. These semi-prominent protrusions make sure to ease traversal on the unpredictable trails.

A four-point Pivot System offers steadiness on both the medial and lateral sections of the platform. Four rubber nodes or pillars prevent surface instability.

The reliable BioMoGo DNA is the Cascadia 13’s primary cushioning unit. It’s made using environmentally friendly components. Its job is to provide contoured support to the underfoot while also ensuring protection from impact shock.

The S-257 Cushsole is an insole that’s meant to provide additional cushioning for the foot. It’s soft and flexible.

The midsole unit also makes use of the Pivot Post System. Above the outsole’s four rubber pillars are firm compounds that act as a foundation for the rest of the platform. These hardy units prevent in-shoe quavering and early material breakdown.

A Ballistic Rock Shield sits between the midsole and outsole. This sturdy layer’s job is to protect the foot from abrasive trail debris and contact points.

The BioMoGo-derived Profile Sock Liner offers additional support for the underfoot. Its curved arch supports the midfoot, a section of the foot that’s not usually given attention.

Element Mesh is a breathable material. It serves as the external part of the upper unit. It has a moisture-managing feature to stave off sweat and mild splashes of water.

The Conformable Saddle is a printed midfoot cage that accommodates the natural shape of the foot. It connects directly to the lacing system, giving a fit that’s easily customizable.

The 3D Rubber Print Mud Guard is a wall surrounding the base of the upper unit. It aims to protect the rest of the façade from mud-and-water exposure. It’s not thick, so it won’t add any unnecessary weight or hinder the movement capacity of the wearer.

The Element Lining is an interior sleeve that’s soft against the skin. Like its exterior counterpart, it can stave off sweat with ease.

A Hydrophobic Foam Package surrounds the collar. This non-absorbing compound cushions the top dimensions of the foot and prevents accidental shoe-removals.

A fabric tab on the heel sections helps the runner in donning and removing the Brooks Cascadia 13.
