- The Asics Gel Kayano 26 Lite-Show running shoe is a special edition of the Asics Gel Kayano 26. These running shoes are very similar in terms of construction and performance. The only difference is the inclusion of the Lite-Show™ technology in the Gel Kayano 26 Lite-Show.
- The Lite-Show™ technology refers to the reflective detailing that is designed to provide additional protection to the runner during low light hours. This component not only enhances the shoe’s visibility but also improves its overall aesthetics.
With the shoe’s lacing system and the way the upper section is constructed, a more comfortable in-shoe feel is sure to be expected by the runners. The Gel Kayano 26 Lite-Show has a standard shoe length, which means that wearers can purchase a pair using their actual sizing expectations. However, it is recommended to try the shoe first to ensure the right fit.
The running shoe is available in numerous colors and variations for both men and women versions.
For maximum gripping performance, the manufacturers of the Gel Kayano 26 Lite-Show used the Asics High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR®) outsole. The AHAR® materials are strategically placed in high wear areas of the outsole to promote durability. The rubber outsole is designed to protect the shoe from damage and the runner from slipping. Other Asics running shoes that feature the AHAR® outsole are the Asics GT 1000 7, Asics Patriot 10 and Asics Roadhawk FF 2.
The flex grooves in the rubber outsole help increase the traction in various surfaces, while the Trusstic™ technology provides stability and helps reduce the weight of the outsole without compromising durability.
The impact guidance system (I.G.S®) is featured in the running shoe to enhance the runner’s gait efficiency. This component increases the shoe’s torsional rigidity to effectively prevent it from twisting while the user is running.
The midsole unit of the shoe is composed of multiple compounds that offer luxurious comfort. The FlyteFoam™ Lyte technology is the main cushioning compound infused in the midsole to deliver high energy return. This lightweight material also enables the user to run faster and longer.
The GEL® technology helps reduce shock during impact and toe-off phase, allowing for natural movements as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
DuoMax® support system is the dual-density midsole system incorporated into the shoe to improve support and stability.
The SpevaFoam™ 45 lasting completes the midsole section. This component is positioned underfoot to improve bounce-back and protect the midsole from breaking down.
For additional cushioning and excellent rebound, the shoe comes with an EVA sockliner.
The Gel Kayano 26 Lite-Show utilizes an engineered mesh upper that offers breathable comfort. The perforated construction allows the air to permeate the entire upper, keeping the foot dry all day long. The lightweight mesh upper is designed to provide a supportive and comfortable fit.
This running shoe features Lite-Show™ reflective materials to keep the runner visible and safe when running after dark.
The lacing system not only allows for a customized fit but provides sufficient midfoot support.
