- The New Balance 1340 v3 is a stability running shoe like the popular New Balance 990 v4. The 1340 v3 features an updated midsole unit which is called the TRUFUSE. This technology's primary purpose is to provide a more durable and reliable cushioning.
- The new upper design of the shoe uses the synthetic mesh to provide the runner with a more breathable running experience. It wraps and supports the foot to minimize possible irritations during the user's activities.
When it comes to the size, The New Balance 1340 v3 has a standard running shoe length. The shoe is best for runners who decide to take their road running activities to the next level. D-Medium is the available width for the men’s version and B- Medium for the women’s version.
Featured on the outsole is the Ndurance which is an outsole that is designed to provide the right amount of grip on different paved surfaces. This durable carbon rubber is located in the lateral side and heel area of the outsole.
Lying in the forefoot area is the Blown rubber. The primary goal of this material is to increase responsiveness and cushioning.
The New Balance running shoe utilizes the combination of N2 cushioning and ACTEVA Lite. The N2 cushioning offers additional ground responsiveness and durability while the ACTEVA Lite lengthens the life of the entire midsole. TRUFUSE blends with the ACTEVA and ABZORB midsole foams.
The full-length ABZORB foam is integrated into the New Balance 1340 v3. This resilient foam is made up of New Balance materials and Dupont Isoprene rubber that is responsible for dispersing shock. It is defined as a cushioning system that absorbs impact sufficiently.
Utilized in the New Balance 1340 v3 is the T-Beam. This technology is consist of a flexible and light TPU shank in the midfoot area. The goal of which is to provide torsional stability. It offers additional arch support as well.
It features another TPU unit which is called the Stabilicore. It uses a rigid thermoplastic unit which lies from the midfoot to the heel area. The primary function of this technology is for stability and smoother heel-to-toe transition.
With the utilization of the Ortholite Sockliner, it offers additional underfoot cushioning and comfort throughout the running session.
The upper area uses the Synthetic Mesh. It aims to provide a lightweight and breathable coverage. As a result, added support and healthier foot environment are encouraged.
A Strobel Last is used in the New Balance 1340 v3. With the upper stitched to full-length ABZORB foam, it delivers a more enhanced cushioning and promotes a softer underfoot feel.
The SL-2 last is used in the shoe. It is described as a running and walking-specific last which has a wide forefoot, a narrow heel, and a low toe-box height.
