Summary

We spent 9.8 hours reading reviews from experts and users. In summary, this is what basketball players think:

6 reasons to buy

  • Like the Nike Mamba Rage, these low-top Kyrie basketball shoes have excellent ankle support and lockdown, nearly all reviewers assert. According to them, there is zero heel slippage and side-to-side movement.
  • The Nike Kyrie Low 2 has beastly traction, almost all players exclaim. It grips the floor well despite the court’s surface or condition.
  • A good number of users are pleasantly surprised at the Kyrie Low 2’s cushioning. They claim that these are the most forgiving and are probably the best-cushioned Kyries out in the market.
  • Almost all testers love the materials of the Kyrie Low 2. They assert that it is soft, flexible, sturdy, and requires little-to-no time to break-in.
  • The mesh upper is very durable and shows little signs of wear, some testers observe.
  • According to several owners, these Kyrie sneakers are insanely comfortable.

3 reasons not to buy

  • Several players feel that the Kyrie Low 2’s traction won’t last outdoors. They claim that the knubs are quite soft and pliable.
  • Despite having heel and forefoot Zoom, a few testers complain that the cushioning is still lackluster. They claim that they can’t feel the Zoom units.
  • A couple of owners gripe that the heel counter is a little flimsy.

Bottom line

The Kyrie Low 2 delivers superior performance at an affordable price. As expected form a Kyrie model, these basketball shoes have excellent traction, court feel, and are very responsive. These low-tops also do a great job of containing the foot during quick lateral movements. The extra Zoom unit and softer Phylon foam also add a little bit of bounce and a good amount of impact protection.

Overall, the Nike Kyrie Low 2 is one of the best Kyrie models available in the market. It is more well-rounded and may even perform better than the Nike Kyrie 5.

For 110 bucks, I'd definitely say get a pair if you want to. You know, it's a great performer on-court and that traction is money.

Is the Nike Kyrie 2 Low leaps and bounds better than the original Kyrie Low? Not really as both offer really good traction, fit and support. However, the Kyrie Low 2 does tweak the Phylon compound enough to allow you to feel the Zoom Air under your feet without taking anything away from court feel. They’ve got just enough of everything to keep most players happy without breaking the bank.

110 bucks, get it. I mean, I feel like this is probably the best Kyrie out right now. I'd say its better than the Kyrie 5. I'd say its better thn the Kyrie Flytrap too.

The cushion department is what going to be a lackluster experience for those who do prefer having something plushier under their feet, but if you ain’t one of them, I don’t see any reason why the Kyrie Low 2 could not be your next pickup. That hall of fame traction with the rest of the aspects solidly working together creates a well-balanced guard shoe and one of the best values for the money you can get right now. What else do you need?

A midfoot cage integrates with the lacing system to keep you locked-in when making quick cuts to the basket.

Length and Width. These Kyrie Irving basketball shoes reportedly provide a nice one-to-one fit; however, wide-footers are warned that the Kyrie Low 2 fits a little too snug.

Nike Kyrie X Spongebob Squarepants

Like the Kyrie 5, the Kyrie Low 2 also arrives in unique edition colorways inspired by the kid’s TV Show Spongebob Squarepants. The character’s spacesuit inspires the “Sandy Cheeks” colorway while the “Mr. Krabbs” colorway takes inspiration from the character’s love for money.
