Updates to Asics Gel Torrance

  • The Asics Gel Torrance is a road running shoe that is recommended for those who have neutral foot motion. It uses the synthetic upper materials for added breathability. This is essential in ensuring proper air circulation inside the shoe.
  • Featured in the shoe is the SpEVA midsole, the goal of which is to decrease breakdown and improve bounce back characteristics.
  • Utilized in the outsole area is the Asics High Abrasion Rubber or AHAR. This material aims to deliver added durability.

Asics Gel Torrance size and fit

The Asics Gel Torrance follows the standard shoe measurements when it comes to sizing. It is ideal for medium and narrow-footed runners. The dimensions provided by Asics should be comfortable for them. The shoe is available in standard medium width for both men’s and women’s version.

Outsole

The AHAR or Asics High Abrasion Rubber is integrated into the Asics Gel Torrance. This material is strategically placed over the outsole to lessen excessive wear and tear.

Midsole

The Asics Gel Torrance employs the SPEVA midsole that aims to provide maximum energy return and high comfort. This technology is useful for attenuating impact forces. Even if the runner continuously wears the shoe, it heightens durability by decreasing midsole breakdown as well.

The shoe utilizes the Rearfoot Gel cushioning system. The system acts as a shock absorber during foot strike. It is significant in attenuating shock during the toe-off phase. A smoother heel-to-toe transition is allowed because of this technology.

To accommodate a medical orthotic, a removable sock liner is used in the shoe. Orthotic is defined as a shoe insert that is intended to correct an irregular or abnormal walking pattern. It alters slightly the angles at which the foot strikes in a running or walking surface.

Upper

Added comfort and breathability is offered by the knit-like upper. Asics integrated the synthetic materials into the Gel Torrance to improve the inflow and outflow of air. As a result, runners will have a more comfortable running experience.

Great in-shoe feel is encouraged by the fabric lining. This material is made up of breathable textiles, the goal of which is to provide better air circulation.

Lightly padded tongue and collar are integrated into the shoe for added support, especially on long-distance walks and runs.
