- The Asics Gel Kumo Lyte is a fashionable and functional road running shoe equipped with advanced technologies to provide a light, cushioned, and flexible ride. This special edition shoe features a cleaner and more stylish mesh upper design compared to Asics Gel Kumo.

- The lightweight midsole foam incorporated into the shoe works strategically with all the joints of the foot, providing a more flexible and comfortable ride. Placed above the midsole foam is the soft sockliner that gives added comfort and protection. It can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.

- For maximum protection, a durable rubber outsole is used. This rubber material promotes longevity and functionality. Infused in the outsole is the strategical groove pattern enhancing the shoe’s flexibility.

The Asics Gel Kumo Lyte is manufactured with a standard shoe length. Runners are welcome to get a pair in their usual sizing expectations, though it is always best to get a proper shoe fitting to ensure a perfect fit.

Some components directly affecting the fit of the shoe include the removable sockliner, lacing system, and padded tongue. The sockliner can be removed to allow the user to adjust the cushioning level of the shoe. The lacing system and padded tongue provide a snug and personalized in-shoe fit.

To provide a comfortable and flexible ride, a lightweight midsole foam is integrated into the shoe. The midsole foam works strategically with all the joints of the foot to give a more tactical running experience.

The rearfoot Gel® technology attenuates shock during the impact phase, providing a smooth transition to midstance. This component is positioned beneath the heel section.

The Ortholite® sockliner included in the shoe provides an extra layer of cushioning. It is made out of an open-cell foam that delivers added breathability. This material is contoured to match the natural shape of the foot. The sockliner can also be removed or replaced with custom orthotics. Other Asics running shoes that feature the Ortholite sockliner include the Asics Gel Excite 6 and Asics Gel Quantum 180 4.

The upper of this running shoe is composed of an engineered mesh upper. This breathable upper material allows the air to constantly flow in and out of the shoe, keeping the foot dry and cool. The synthetic overlays are added to provide structure and added durability.

The midfoot support panel incorporated into the shoe holds the foot securely in place while running. It prevents the foot from twisting and helps increase stability.

Giving additional comfort are the padded tongue and ankle collar. These components help reduce irritation and prevent dirt from entering the shoe.

This affordable running shoe utilizes the lace-up closure to provide a firm and comfortable fit without being too restrictive.
