Updates to Asics Gel Kenun

  • The Asics Gel Kenun is a road running shoe that is intended for underpronators and neutral runners. It uses the jacquard mesh upper that provides a breathable coverage.
  • Utilized on the outsole is the durable rubber with Rearfoot Gel cushioning system, the goal of which is for added traction and shock absorption.
  • It uses the Solyte midsole which aims to enhance cushioning and durability. This material is lighter when compared to Asics’s standard SpEVA and EVA midsoles.

Asics Gel Kenun size and fit

The Asics Gel Kenun follows the standard shoe measurements when it comes to sizing. The shoe is recommended for those who want to stand out in long and short-distance road running activities. The available widths are D - Medium for the men's version and B- Medium for the women's version.

Outsole

The AHAR+ rubber is integrated into the Asics Gel Kenun. This material is a lighter and thinner version of the AHAR. It is strategically placed over the outsole to reduce excessive wear and tear. It also provides added durability.

Midsole

The Asics Gen Kenun uses the Rearfoot Gel cushioning system. During foot strike, the system acts as a shock absorber. It is essential in attenuating shock during toe-off phases.

In the midsole area lies the vertically-placed flex grove called the Guidance Line. This technology guides the runner's foot to follow and improve the gait cycle in a natural manner.

To provide enhanced cushioning and durability, the Solyte midsole technology is integrated into the shoe. This material is made up of lighter compounds that are used in Asics’s standard SpEVA and EVA midsoles.

The underfoot comfort is encouraged by the Ortholite lasting. This lasting material aims to deliver an increased level of breathability.

Moisture management is encouraged by the Ortholite sockliner. During the running and walking activities, it ensures to keep the runner's foot healthy and fresh. Another purpose of which is to provide additional cushioning.

Upper

The Asics Gen Kenun provides a breathable coverage by using the jacquard upper mesh. Aside from its breathability, the shoe also reduces the risk of potential friction and irritation that are caused by traditional seams and stitches. Through its seamless upper construction, it creates a comfortable running experience for the wearer.
