If you're looking for a zero-drop, cushioned foot shape, wide toe box shoe, I think the Torin 3.5 is easily a grass.
- The Altra Torin 3.5 Knit is a road running shoe that is created for those who have neutral foot mechanism. The shoe uses the Fit4Her technology. With the use of this technology, every women's shoe is customized to suit the unique and specific anatomy of the female foot.
- The Engineered-knit upper is utilized in the shoe. It delivers a breathable and sleek sock-like feel. Along with the engineered mesh upper is the reinforced A-strap internal support system. This material encourages a more secure and comfortable fit.
- Featured in the upper is the footshape toe box. It aims to allow the toes to spread out naturally.
The Altra Torin 3.5 Knit runs true to size. Because of its foot-shape toe box, it provides a more comfortable fit to runners who are medium-footed. The shape of the footwear follows the natural curvature of the foot. The shoe is available in standard medium B and D widths for the women’s and men’s respectively.
The FootPod outsole is integrated into the Altra Torin 3.5 Knit. When compared to the traditional rubber, the FootPod is essential in following the natural shape and construction of the human foot. This updated material offers a more responsive ride and improved flexibility throughout the gait cycle. It provides added traction as well.
An A-Bound midsole compound is utilized in the shoe. It is described as an environmentally-friendly and recycled material that aims to provide underfoot protection.
Added flexibility is encouraged by the Inner Flex flex grooves system. The goal of which is to cut weight to improve speed and increase the performance of the platform.
Durable cushioning is offered by the Dual Layer EVA midsole foam. This material is a two-layered EVA foam that provides a more flexible underfoot experience. Added comfort against the possible effects of prolonged and continued use of the shoe is also offered by the foam.
The Natural Ride System or NRS design is used in the Altra Torin 3.5 Knit. This design includes a metatarsal-specific shapes, zero millimeter heel-to-toe drop and a more natural and foot-shaped last. This component of the shoe aims to allow natural foot movement. It also assists in the use of proper foot mechanics.
The removable 6mm Contour Footbed is integrated into the Altra Torin 3.5 Knit. It is significant in providing additional underfoot cushioning for a more comfortable ride.
Utilized in the shoe is the Engineered Mesh. Its primary function is to offer a more breathable upper. This material keeps the foot dry and fresh during the running activity. As a result, a healthier and cooler foot environment is encouraged.
The Strobel Last is used in the Altra Torin 3.5 Knit. It is stitched to the upper area with the full-length fabric to ensure a more comfortable underfoot feel.
With the utilization of the Synthetic-nubuck heel, it adds to the durability and stylish design of the platform.
Allowing the toes to spread out comfortably and naturally is the work of the footshape toe box. The big toe maintained in a straight position for a more comfort, speedy and stable ride.
