Updates to Brooks Ravenna 7

  • The major updates of the Brooks Ravenna 7 were focused more on the shoe’s upper unit. The uppers mesh was reengineered to deliver a sleek package and a more ventilated environment, keeping the foot cool and moisture-free.
  • Another notable update is the adjustable saddle that wraps the midfoot securely while delivering a more customized fit.

Size and fit

The size of the Ravenna 7 is a half size larger than the standard running shoe length. The heel area comfortable accommodates those with narrow to medium foot measurements. The midfoot has a low volume and the forefoot is of standard measurements.

The Omni Grooves in the shoe’s outsole works perfectly with the midsole’s Omni Flex Grooves. It delivers added flexibility without sacrificing cushioning. It delivers an effortless forefoot ride.

The outsole unit of the Brooks Ravenna 7 uses the HPR Plus that gives durable traction through its high abrasion-resistant capacity. The blown rubber also works well with the outsole technology since it offers not only flexibility and durability but also a responsive ride.

The midsole utilizes the BioMoGo DNA midsole cushioning which is believed to be more reliable than the standard MoGo midsole. It is an environment-friendly alternative that delivers a more flexible and softer running experience. It works well with the Diagonal Rollbar (DRB) which serves as the dual density foam that reduces overpronation.

The Omega Flex Grooves in the shoe’s midsole is also a great help in improving the midsole flexibility without affecting the cushioning. When at rest, the grooves provide support and when it flex, it flex openly, achieving its maximum flexibility capacity.

Ravenna 7, and its latest version, the Ravenna 10, use a reliable mesh upper that delivers maximum breathability and comfort. It has moisture-wicking capacity, keeping the foot cool and dry. It has an adjustable saddle that extends to the heel, wrapping the midfoot for a more secure and customized fit. Lastly, synthetic overlays were designed to deliver a secure and snug fit.
