- The Salomon Quest Winter GTX is a high-cut hiking boot designed for use in cold weather conditions. Its leather and textile upper is lined with a Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort membrane to seal out water and retain heat in cold temperatures.
- An injected ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) midsole supplies cushioning and support to the user. Its Contagrip outsole allows sure footing on trails filled with ice and snow.
Salomon Quest Winter GTX size and fit
The Quest Winter GTX is available for male hikers in whole and half sizes. It is offered in standard width profile. The boot’s lace-up closure system permits a personalized lockdown to the wearer. Also, this Salomon product fairly runs true to size.
This winter boot is outfitted with the brand’s patented Sensifit technology which hugs the user’s foot from the midsole to the lacing system. It provides a snug and secure fit to the wearer.
Salomon’s Quest Winter GTX is equipped with a non-marking Contagrip outsole to deliver traction. It’s made of a durable rubber compound that’s engineered to withstand cold temperatures. The outsole’s surface is filled with an aggressive lug pattern which renders grip on wet and icy surfaces.
This high-cut winter hiker uses an injected EVA midsole for cushioning and stability. It’s paired with a removable Ortholite footbed which provides arch support and underfoot comfort. These two components are embedded within the brand’s patented Advanced Chassis which optimizes motion control, improves stability, and offers push through protection.
The Salomon Quest Winter GTX features an upper made of leather and abrasion-resistant textile fabric. It’s lined with a Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort membrane to seal water out while maintaining heat inside the gear. The upper uses a full bootie construction for complete protection against the elements.
The upper’s rubber toe cap provides added protection against stubbing. Its protective heel counter grants rearfoot stability to the user. The gusseted tongue prevents debris from entering the footwear.
The boot’s inner cuff is lined with fleece for improved insulation. A pull loop is also found on the cuff to facilitate an easy on and off. Its closure system uses a lace locker found between the forefoot ankle eyelets to secure the laces and allow a precise lockdown.
