The second-generation NikeCourt Lite is designed to provide the essential elements needed in a hard-court setup, which makes it suitable for tennis beginners. It’s one of the lightweight tennis shoes that’s intended to deliver the same degree of comfort as its predecessor, but with few enhancements on its key points.

Instead of genuine leather, this reassembled version utilizes synthetic with mesh to keep it light and breathable. Traction is improved with the use of a multi-tread pattern to allow balanced footing on concrete. Its more robust form is intended for maximum durability.

Ready for a series of hard-court drills and games, the NikeCourt Lite 2 is built with the responsive Phylon midsole. It’s the same cushioning foam treatment used in the previous model that doesn’t put much load to the foot.

Composition. Nike strengthened this section by using GDR (green durable rubber) outsole that resists abrasion. Although this isn’t the top-of-the-line footgear, the outsole is assembled to keep up with the demands of hard court.

A fun fact about its rubber material is that it’s environment-friendly. It is stated that fewer chemical emissions occurred during the production of this element.

Traction. It features a modified, non-marking outsole design, which shows five distinctive patterns. These tread designs provide different traction levels that offer stable footing when practicing the basic tennis stances.

Added support. The underfoot rubber runs up the tip of the shoe as an added support feature against toe dragging.

Cushioning. For shock-absorption, the Court Lite 2 uses lightweight Phylon that’s made out of EVA foam pellets. These tiny particles are compressed, heated, and formed using a mold.

It’s neither too soft nor stiff but cushions the foot during landings, toe-offs, and lateral movements. It’s also assembled with a raised heel for improved rear end cushioning.

Support. This entry-level footwear is built with a beefed-up shank under the arch of the foot. Such a platform offers more excellent court coverage while granting stability. Specifically, this midfoot shank prevents the foot from rotating during impulsive slides and sudden shifts of direction.

It comes with a slightly low arch that works well with neutral and flat-footed users requiring mild to moderate support.

Stability. Synthetic leather and mesh serve as a durable covering for the foot. The double stitches are intended to keep the upper intact even during long training sessions.

Fit. The synthetic overlay and traditional lacing system are devised to deliver support as these are meant to keep a lockdown fit.

  • NikeCourt Lite is available in neutral and playful color combinations.
  • Swoosh branding is stitched on the lateral side and outlined using perforations on the medial side.
