Profile of the Jordan Jumpman Quick 6
The Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 was first released in 1998. While it was already the second signature shoe of NBA star Eddie Jones, it was the first signature shoe to carry his branding. The brand takes a step forward by re-releasing the shoe model for the first time in twenty years without any collaboration with Jones. Now officially known as the Jordan Quick 23, the new model comes with a few tweaks and bit of inspiration from the Air Jordan 13 and 14. The design taken from the AJ 14 is the Ferrari-like logo on the heel. The rubber pods on the midsole are from the AJ 13. The plastic eyelet with Eddie Jones’s logo on the Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 does not make it to the Jordan Quick 23.
Cushion. The Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 Retro comes with a Phylon midsole for optimal cushioning. The signature shoe has a forefoot Zoom Air unit and heel Air unit. These provide impact protection and energy return. For step-in comfort, the shoe comes with an Ortholite insole.
Traction. The Jordan Quick 23 features a solid outsole rubber with a herringbone traction pattern. The outsole rubber is designed to withstand indoor and outdoor surfaces. The forefoot area has widely spaced flex grooves to deliver maximum court grip and control to multidirectional footwork. The midsection of the outsole comes with a thermoplastic polyurethane torsional shank plate for arch support and stability.
Length and Width. The Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 runs true to size. Reviewers recommend that new buyers get their true Jordan size.
Lockdown. The Jordan Quick 23 uses the traditional lace-up system for lockdown. To keep the tongue in place, the middle section of the tongue has leather lace loops. The inner walls and the tongue come with thick padding to provide comfort and support.
The upper of the retro version of the Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 features a combination of tumbled and synthetic leather. The side panels are made of perforated synthetic leather for ventilation. The forefoot has leather overlays for durability. The heel comes with a pull tab for ease.
The Jordan Quick 23 is fashionable just like other Jordan basketball sneakers. On any occasion, the shoe surely fits well. Clean and crisp top shirts paired with khakis or long or short denims look great with these Jordan basketball sneakers.
