The Nike Sock Dart QS comes in both men and women’s sizes. The men can choose from sizes 6 to 15 while the ladies can choose from sizes 4 – 13.  It comes in a low-cut, slip-on style with an adjustable strap to keep your feet snug and in place. The breathable textile upper is said to mimic the fit and comfort of a sock.

The Nike Sock Dart was introduced in 2004, just shortly after sneaker fans saw the unveiling of the Nike Presto. It is one of the first Nike designs to have a knit attribute for its uppers. The Nike Sock Dart range started when Hiroshi Fujiwara, an acclaimed designer, spotted a sample pair made by Tinker Hatfield and further developed it. Fujiwara commissioned the first release to be under the HTM label in 2004. With the shoe’s comfort and minimalist design it was seen as a bit too unfamiliar to the market during that time. As a result, the shoe unexpectedly faded out of the sneaker game.

Fast-forward to 2014, Nike decided to have a retro release as a limited edition in partnership with NikeLab. The masses finally caught up and bought the shoe’s futuristic appeal.

In April 2017, Nike re-introduced the shoe clothed in the brand’s signature elephant skin print, which was first used on the Air Safari shoe in 1987. It was called the Nike Sock Dart QS that came in 4 colorways.
