Ideal to wear with shorts, jeans, or casual pants, this OG version of the Nike SB Stefan Janoski is as stylish yet minimalist as the regular model. It also comes in classic colorways that offer versatility in styling for both men and women.

Notable Features

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski OG has a similar construction as the regular Nike SB Stefan Janoski, but with minor aesthetic upgrades.

This version utilizes a suede, leather, or nubuck upper that comes in classic colorways as a nod to Janoski’s original skate shoe silhouette that fans and casual consumers loved back in the day. It also features rounded and waxed leather laces that go through the reinforced metal lace eyelets.

This version also has a plaid footbed and a stronger suede heel cap, which is a different take from the regular Janoskis with canvas heel.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski OG History

The Nike Skateboarding line, otherwise known as the Nike SB, was introduced in 2002. There is a Nike SB Team composed of professional and amateur skateboarders that help in promoting and designing skate shoes under this line. One of these members is California-based professional skateboarder Stefan Janoski. He is the second professional skater, next to Paul Rodriguez, to be given a signature shoe under this line, which is the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski that initially dropped in 2009.

He worked hand-in-hand with Nike designer James Arizumi in the design process of his signature skate shoe, with inspirations drawn from a classic skate shoe combined with a boat shoe. The upper is very simple and basic in a low-top construction and equipped with a vulcanized sole.

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski received a highly positive response from the consumers not only in the skating community but also in the casual or lifestyle sneaker market. It is dubbed as one of the greatest, if not the best, shoe model that the Nike SB line ever released.

One of the recent versions of this popular skate shoe is the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski OG. It bears similar construction as the original Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski but made with a few materials and aesthetic upgrades. The upper materials are either leather, nubuck, or suede and the laces are rounded leather in premium quality for increased durability and a streamlined look. The footbeds of the two models are also different, but mainly just in aesthetics as the OG version has a plaid footbed.
