The Nike SB Delta Force Vulc’s leather upper overlaid with suede is reminiscent of the iconic Air Jordan 1. In the year 1986, Nike debuted the Delta Force. This hoop shoe flaunted a silhouette that closely resembled the design of the classic Nike Dunk, which was released around the same time. The Delta Force, however, did not get as much exposure as its sibling the Dunk.

16 years after, global giant Nike thought it was high time to cross over to the equally technical world of skate shoe manufacturing. Nike SB, short for skateboarding, was established and the first shoe under this line, the SB Dunk, was introduced. A modified version of the 80s b-ball shoe, its padding was increased, its insoles were replaced, and its traction pattern was altered to meet the demands of skaters.

Fast forward to the year 2004, Nike SB decided to give the Delta Force a chance to shine. With the help of renowned NYC skateboarding shop and clothing brand Supreme, the Delta Force was turned into a skate-worthy piece of footwear known as the Supreme x Nike SB Delta Force ¾.

Made with a chunky silhouette and a work cleat-inspired ankle collar, the SB Delta Force ¾ was released in three colorways. • The famous “Swoosh” insignia is added on the lateral and medial side of the SB Delta Force Vulc to complete its look.
  • For branding, a Nike callout is printed on the heel. The Nike SB logo is also displayed on the tongue label, undersole, and footbed.
