The Nike Moon Racer is exclusively offered in men's sizing. Ladies who want to cop a pair should go one and a half sizes down from their standard shoe size. It has a low profile, which allows the wearer’s ankles to keep their full range of motion. A traditional lace-up closure provides a custom, lockdown fit.

The Nike Moon Racer’s hybrid concept contributes to its one-of-a-kind style. Its unprecedented midsole design is attention-grabbing and adds a unique focal point to any outfit, while its low-top profile adorned with oversized Swoosh logos and toebox detailing provide familiarity and versatility. Pair this sneaker with casual staples such as jeans, joggers or shorts for a stylish off-duty ensemble.

With this sneaker’s unique aesthetic, people take notice whether they like it or not. This shoe’s peculiar midsole design and familiar upper had most consumers curious. Moreover, the fact that it features Nike’s React midsole technology had some customers sold from the get-go.

The Nike Moon Racer is a lifestyle model that debuted in August of 2018. It is a past-meets-present sneaker that took inspiration from the brand's previous models. The Nike Moon shoe released in 1972 inspires the shoe's upper and it is a prototype of the Nike Waffle Trainer. Only a dozen Moon shoes were ever produced, and it was handmade by Geoff Hollister under the direction of Bill Bowerman. It was named after its unique outsole tread pattern that resembled astronauts' footprints that were left on the moon's surface in 1969.

The other sneaker model that closely resembles the Moon Racer's upper is the Nike Cortez, which is also one of the first shoes released by the brand. The Cortez's nylon mesh upper, prominent Swoosh logos, and toebox stitching details can also be seen on the Moon Racer's silhouette. Finally, the midsole takes after the brand's 2018 model called the Vapor Street Flyknit.

The Nike Moon Racer is available in the following colorways: sail/string/ volt and black/white/wolf grey.

  • It comes with a drawstring bag.
  • A moon graphic graces the sockliner for added style.
