Just step into and go with the Nike Glide FlyEase
Borrowing the technology developed by Kizik, a footwear brand known for their revolutionary hands-free products, Nike conceived the hands-free FlyEase. As part of the brand's campaign of releasing more iterations accessible to users with limited mobility, the brand launches several popular models that have been redesigned with easy entry.
To keep on with the success of the Nike Go FlyEase, Nike premiers the Nike Glide FlyEase. True to its name, wearers can easily slide their feet into the Glide FlyEase without any troubles. Perfect recovery footwear, this sneaker is highly similar to the fit and comfort of the popular Nike Roshe or Nike Sock Dart.
The Swoosh strategically placed the flexible FlyEase technology at the heel of this sneaker. This plastic feature collapses when the foot slips in and snaps back to secure the foot in place.
Nike Go FlyEase vs Nike Glide FlyEase
Both sneakers are part of the FlyEase capsule that aims to provide comfort and trouble-free entry. However, there are a few differences that set these sneakers apart from each other:
- The Go FlyEase uses mesh and neoprene on its upper, while the Glide FlyEase uses Flyknit.
- The Go FlyEase has a tension band and bi-stable hinges for hands-free entry, whereas the Glide FlyEases uses the flexible heel.
- The hinges straighten up and lock your foot in when you slide your foot into the Go FlyEase. Meanwhile, the flexible plastic on the heel of Glide FlyEase springs back to its original shape, and the elastic cord goes over to secure the foot.
- To retain its sleek vibe, Go FlyEase uses just a minimal amount of cushioning. However, the Glide FlyEase uses a thick rubber midsole inserted with ZoomX insole cushioning.
The Nike Glide FlyEase Premium was released as part of Nike's movement towards sustainability. This version is made with 20% reprocessed material by weight.
The Premium version uses the breathable knit upper that is made from 50% recycled materials by weight. Meanwhile, its midsole is also crafted from upcycling the foam taken from the factory floor. The inserted insole cushioning, furthermore, is molded from recycled ZoomX cushioning.
