The Nike Air Force 1 Type carries bits of the classic look of the original AF1 but with a prototype aesthetic and other new features. This unique pair has an oversized geometric toe bumper inspired by technical manuals found inside shoeboxes from the 70s and 80s and an N354 micro branding that speaks of Nike’s origins. 

The upper is made of synthetic and textile materials. Transparent TPE on the medial side lets you see the Flywire and shows off the closure system and adjustable technology. Nike’s N354 line is based on a bunch of Nike prototypes that have been archived. Nike revisits its archive and experiments on this division to create new ideas. It draws inspiration from and pays tribute to track and field athlete Steve Prefontaine’s fastest mile time. 

His coach was Bill Bowerman the founder of Nike and Steve was one of the first to test Nike shoes for their performance. His life was cut short in a car accident but the N354 line lives for the idea that shoes made under this line will also push the boundaries of possibility. 

The N354 line has had a few sneakers releases namely the Huarache Type, Drop Type LX, Daybreak Type N354, Squash Type N354, and the Air Force 1 Type.
