Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Cup Style

The Nike AF-1 and Foamposite mixed styling turn up with an impressive selection of lustrous and metallic sheen that blurs the line between classic and contemporary sneaker look. This seamless silhouette bears the synthetic foam-infused upper that holds a classy appearance when slipped with folded-up, straight pants, cuffed jeans, cargos, and canvas pants.

Notable Features

Three elements entice consumers to pick up AF-1 Foamposite Pro Cup: style, longevity, and comfort. Its hard-shell cover that’s coated with a range of metallic tones offers a polished look and helps prolong the life of the shoe. This Air Force One spinoff may seem like a mini aircraft on the feet, but the sufficiently padded interior and cushioned cupsole offer comfort that takes the feet up on the clouds.

Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Cup History

Nike was on a hybrid wave when it introduced a crossbreed sneaker, the Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Pro Cup that blended two landmark Swoosh styles from the hardwood. Its synthetic cover pays tribute to the 1997 hoops shoes that debuted with the Foamposite technology, the Nike Air Foamposite One, and Air Foamposite Pro.

Of the two models, the Pro flashed a molded Swoosh jewel on the outer panel which is mimicked on the AF-1 Foamposite collaboration but with a flattened shape. The Foamposites kept a stable foothold in the basketball scene up until 2007 with the return of its famous squad, including the well-sought-after Royal and Blackout styles. This futuristic concept gained stronger momentum from 2009 to 2012 when it was retroed with hyped-up patterns and colors such as the Eggplant and Galaxy.

The silhouette and bottom of the low-top AF-1 Foamposite Pro Cup mirrored another Nike basketball legend, the Air Force 1 Low that revolutionized the game back in 1982 when it debuted on the court as the first Swoosh ball shoe that lodged the Nike Air. Soon enough, this model rapidly gained traction globally, from the hardwood, local parks, and city streets, to the heart of hip-hop culture.

The initial run of the mashup was in 2012 that came in pewter colorway and named the Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite. In 2013, Nike began churning out metallic shades with the drop of the Quick Strike copper version as part of the Black History Month collection. In January 2018, the low-top edition made its comeback with the release of the lustrous Pro Cup iteration in striking Coral Stardust followed by other hues such as the Triple White and Gym Red.
