Updates to Brooks PureFlow 4

  • The Brooks PureFlow 4 delivers responsive cushioning, flexibility, and breathable coverage that’s sure to keep the running experiences as comfortable as possible. Featuring form-fitting systems and components, this neutral running shoe aims to complement the natural movements of the wearer’s foot.
  • The upper unit of this Brooks running shoe features a mesh material that’s soft and comfortable. It allows air to easily enter the foot-chamber in order to maintain a well-ventilated interior in which to rest the foot. The overlays are fused to the fabric to prevent adding more weight or making the cover system feel stiff. The NAV BAND is a mid-foot wrapping unit that keeps the foot in place.
  • The BioMoGo DNA mid-sole material gives full-length cushioning that’s responsive and comfortable. It delivers a customized underfoot feel because it is able to conform itself to the shape of the individual’s foot. The Omega Flex Grooves make the mid-sole more flexible, but it doesn’t sacrifice cushioning.
  • Blown rubber is a durable material that protects the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. It is also flexible and mildly springy, so it adds a bit more cushioning to the runner as they go through the gait cycle. The big toe area of the platform is split, thus allowing the forefoot to toe-off more efficiently.

Size and fit

The Brooks PureFlow 4 has a standard running shoe length. The sizing scheme follows the standard measurements for men and women. The available width is medium, so it accommodates those with medium sized feet. Its semi-curved shape adheres to the natural curvature of the human foot.

Blown Rubber is a durable material that’s used to cover the contact points of the exterior sole unit of the Brooks PureFlow 4. It has a responsive nature, which means it adds a bit more cushioning and flexibility with each step and toe-off.

The TOE FLEX design is a split sole unit construction, which enables the big toe to move independently. This design is helpful in achieving a better toe-off as the big toe facilitates more push from the ground.

The BioMoGo DNA which can also be found in the latest PureFlow 7, gives responsive cushioning to the runner. It gives a plush underfoot feel, which keeps the runner comfortable at all times. It is made from biodegradable materials, but it’s durable and long-lasting.

The Omega Flex Grooves make the platform more flexible. They give the wearer’s foot more freedom to move more naturally. They do not sacrifice the quality of the mid-sole’s cushioning.

Durable mesh brings breathable support to the runner. Air seamlessly enters the shoe in order to maintain a well-ventilated interior environment. It doesn’t tear apart easily, as well.

The NAV BAND is a stretchable band that goes around the medial and lateral sides of this shoe. It wraps around the mid-foot to secure it and provide additional support.

Fused overlays provide structure to the upper. They assist the upper fabrics in giving a snug and secure coverage.
