All the materials, all the padding all the way around the foot; the padded collar, padded tongue—all that stuff just makes this a dream to wear.
[R]eally great for hiking. Really good traction. Really nimble. They're stiff enough, but they don't have the super heavy, clunky boot feel.
[T]he Mountain 600 EnduroWeave boots have the old-school vibe that Danner is known for, making them a good fit for the trail or a casual dinner party.
Mixing the best of a low-top with mid-cut stability, this may be the perfect light boot.
Updates to Danner Mountain 600 EnduroWeave
- Ready to tackle the arid, summer climate of the Pacific Northwest, the Mountain 600 EnduroWeave optimizes breathability and comfort. A first for Danner, this boot has an upper made of a durable carbon-washed woven fabric.
- The brand designers equipped it with a Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole. The former delivers a lightweight yet durable cushioning, while the latter renders grip on virtually all types of terrain.
Danner Mountain 600 EnduroWeave size and fit
The Mountain 600 EnduroWeave is a mid-cut day hiking boot for men and women. It is offered in whole and half sizes. Both versions come in standard width, with men’s having a wide option too.
This footwear is shaped using the DPDX last. It keeps a low volume fit while granting adequate room for comfort. According to Danner, this pair runs slightly large. Hence, they recommend getting a half size smaller than the usual to get the best fit.
The Mountain 600 EnduroWeave from Danner employs the Vibram Fuga outsole. It is made of Megagrip compound which grips on wet and dry grounds. Its profile includes self-adaptive lugs which stiffen on cold hikes for an optimal bite and soften a bit on warm climates for more ground adhesion. The flex lines along the sole promote natural rolling motion of the foot.
Featuring the Vibram SPE midsole, the Danner Mountain 600 EnduroWeave gives hikers a cushioned ride. Aside from being lightweight, this rubberized EVA also offers improved resilience to constant compression. It houses a nylon shank which grants underfoot rigidity.
An Ortholite footbed with three varying densities sits atop the midsole to enhance comfort. The TPU frame at the heel, on the other hand, amplifies stability.
This mid-cut day hiking boot has an abrasion-resistant upper, thanks to the EnduroWeave carbon-washed fabric. It is a tightly woven material which shields the foot from outdoor obstacles while being permeable to air. The inside is lined with Air Mesh; it wicks away moisture and enhances breathability.
At the back of the foot is a strip of PU-coated leather which adds protection against scrapes. Its lacing system comes with a flat lace which passes through D-rings and two pairs of speed hooks. Along the top of the tongue is a pair of thin cords which lock the lace and tongue in place.
