-This hiker from Adidas comes with a synthetic upper, a Boost midsole, and a rubber outsole. The Boost responsive cushioning technology is known for its high energy return in any temperature and adaptability to any terrain, including rocky surfaces.

-It has a unique Primeknit construction that boasts of breathability, flexibility, and lightness.

-It uses the Parley Ocean Plastic which is an upcycled plastic waste sourced from beaches, remote islands, coastal communities, and shorelines.

The Terrex Free Hiker Parley is a mid-top boot featuring a soft yet supportive upper. Unlike traditional hiking shoes, it looks and feels more like a sneaker. Unique to this shoe is the knitted collar for a sock-like feel. There's also a pull loop at the back of the collar for easy wearing or taking off. This shoe is secured through a lace-up closure.

Designed for varying terrain, the Terrex Free Hiker Parley is equipped with the Continental Rubber outsole. It's basically the same rubber used in many cars today and is undoubtedly very durable. Compared to traditional outsoles, the Continental Rubber sole is thinner to allow more freedom of movement.

For improved performance on the trail, this hiker comes with the adaptive Traxion technology which allows it to adapt to any terrain and uneven surfaces. The lugs are multidirectional to ensure grip and traction on dry and wet surfaces.

This hiker has the Boost midsole which is the most innovative cushioning solution from Adidas. It's made of springy thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) which works by enhancing energy return and shock absorption, thereby reducing the impact of walking or running. The Adidas Boost is also very lightweight. All these features allow hikers to run faster and save energy without sacrificing comfort.

Parley plastic - a performance material made of upcycled plastic waste found in the ocean and shorelines - make up the upper of this shoe, including the Primeknit which is highly resistant to abrasion. The knitted collar offers a soft, flexible yet protective coverage for the ankle, ensuring that no debris gets inside. There is no waterproof membrane lining the interior so it's very breathable and perfect for hiking in the summer season.

Completing the upper is a traditional lace-up closure for a secure fit.

-Adidas has partnered with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organization and global collaboration network founded in 2012. With the goal of turning a problem into solution, Adidas was able to transform this ocean waste into high-performance sportswear.
