  • The OUTpath Pro GTX’s lightweight upper is protected from debris thanks to its built-in gaiter with snap button. It comes imbued with the Sensifit system—a Salomon-exclusive tech that grants fit precision and adequate flexibility. It is also engineered with the Active Support technology which supports the ankle on uneven terrain.
  • This shoe is amply protected from bumpy rocks and gnarly roots with its heel counter and toe cap. The heel counter also provides rearfoot support.

Size and fit

Salomon’s OUTpath Pro GTX is a mid-cut, speed hiking shoe for men and women. It offers a fairly true-to-size fit for regular-footed individuals. It comes in full and half sizes. Underneath its zippered gaiter is the shoe’s classic lacing system which, together with the Sensifit technology, enables wearers to achieve a precise and personalized lockdown.

Endowing users the ability to take on trails whether wet or dry is the Premium Wet Traction Contagrip outsole. Its surface is adequately lugged with a kind of geometry that allows for multi-directional grip. It extends to the upper by a small margin, giving the shoe additional toe protection.

With its injected EVA midsole, the OUTpath Pro GTX gets to stabilize the wearer’s balance over unpredictable trails and surfaces. It cushions the foot and mitigates shock upon each landing thanks to its thick construction. It also grants arch support and stability with the molded shank embedded in it.

For added comfort, the gear is equipped with a cushioned EVA footbed. It is anatomically designed, contributing to the shoe’s overall underfoot support system.

The Salomon OUTpath Pro GTX has a water-resistant upper made of textile and synthetic materials. Its liner is engineered with the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort tech, offering water protection and internal ventilation at the same time. Its closure system consists of synthetic laces and loop eyelets.

Enclosing virtually everything that makes up the shoe’s upper, excluding the heel and toe caps, is the OUTpath Pro GTX’s non-removable gaiter. It comes complete with a lateral zipper and snap button.
