Profile of the Jordan Supreme Elevation
Inspired by the 32nd Air Jordan, the Jordan Supreme Elevation was first seen on the feet of Jimmy Butler on November 7, 2018. These basketball sneakers are the lightest Jordan shoes despite the addition of the midfoot and ankle straps. This model is a Greater China exclusive and had a low-key release in March 2019. The blue rendition with an against-the-grain heel resembles the Philadelphia 76ers All-Star’s alma mater, the Marquette University.
The upper of the Jordan Supreme Elevation is made of entirely Flyknit that greatly reminds of the Air Jordan 32. For the cushion, the Jordan brand reports that the Supreme Elevation has the largest Zoom Air units ever placed in a shoe model. This sneaker is tagged as the most responsive shoe the brand has ever designed.
Cushion. The Jordan Supreme Elevation comes with forefoot and heel Zoom Air units. These cushioning technologies are encapsulated in a Phylon midsole. They offer a substantial amount of impact protection, bounciness, and responsiveness. These keep the wearer from stress and fatigue in their knees and legs.
Traction. The outsole of the Jordan Supreme Elevation is a combination of icy translucent and solid rubber. The solid rubber comes with a lateral herringbone traction pattern. As for the translucent side, it is designed with squares in an angular pattern. The Nike Kobe 10 almost has the same traction pattern.
Length and Width. According to some reviewers, because the Jordan Supreme Elevation is built for Asian wearers, the shoe is slightly wider than the standard length and width the Jordan brand has. On the contrary, some testers say that the width of the Jordan Supreme Elevation is smaller than that of Kevin Durant’s tenth basketball shoe. They add that going true to size will not deliver the right fit to normal-footers. Therefore, it is best for new buyers to fit the shoe prior to the purchase.
Lockdown. The Jordan Supreme Elevation boasts the traditional lacing system to keep the foot in place. As if the laces aren’t enough, these Jordan basketball shoes feature straps in the midfoot and ankle for a more secure lockdown.
The Jordan Supreme Elevation has a ribbed Flyknit upper with exposed stitches on both sides that reveal its intricate design. The Velcro straps are elastic to make it easier for wearers to adjust the tightness.
The Jordan Supreme Elevation surely has one of the prettiest designs the brand has ever made. These Air Jordan XXXII-lookalike also similar upper aesthetics as the Jordan Flyknit Elevation 23. The Jumpman logos are found on the lateral ankle side, rubber outsole, and insole. The shoe comes with a dainty black pull tab for ease of wear and removal. There is an “AIR” callout at the heel of which the A is replaced with a Jumpman logo.
