The Jordan CP3.XI is a testament to Chris Paul’s unquestionable talent and command of the game. He joins a rare circle of signature athletes who have more than ten models to their name.

When it comes to his shoes, Chris knows exactly what he wants. “I’ve been doing this for a number of years now, and after learning about all of the tech and as I’ve gotten older, I now want my shoe to get lower and to be wearable right out of the box,” he explains. “Now, everything is about speed and traction.”

The Jordan CP3.11 focuses on five crucial elements to propel Chris’s game to a whole new level: stability, traction, quickness, cushion, and personality. All of these attributes perfectly blend to match his dynamic and aggressive style of play.

These game-ready Chris Paul basketball shoes offer seamless support and responsive speed with its forefoot strap, herringbone traction, TPU plate, and Zoom Air cushioning. Step up your game and let loose on the court with the new CP3.XI from the Jordan brand.

Cushion. The Jordan CP3.XI is equipped with more cushioning for enhanced underfoot comfort. “I probably don’t jump as high as I once did, but when I do jump the cushioning is always nice to have for the landing,” Chris said in an interview for Nike.com.

These Chris Paul basketball shoes have a foam midsole with forefoot and heel Zoom Air bags. This low-to-the-ground cushioning setup offers lightweight responsiveness and impact protection.

Underneath the lateral forefoot, a TPU plate creates a stable and responsive platform that allows Chris to make hard lateral cuts and to stop on a dime.

“If you’re fast, I’m not going to get as close to you because I know you’ll just go faster than me. So instead of being fast, I try to use a change of pace,” Chris explains. “If somebody is constantly coming at you, you don’t know when to stop them or when they will change direction, so it’s more important to me to be able to change pace than to just be one speed.”

The TPU plate also enhances energy return to help him push the pace and speed by his defenders.

Traction. Chris’s quickness and dynamic style of play call for traction that can go above and beyond. “The biggest thing for me — because of the moves I like to do and the stop-and-go — will always be to make sure that the traction runs up by my toe — it’s the first thing I look at when I grab a shoe,” Chris describes.

The CP3.11 has a durable rubber outsole with a modified herringbone traction pattern that goes all the way up the medial forefoot. The rubber tread is engineered to deliver exceptional grip on the hardwood.

Length and Width. The Jordan CP3.11 fits true to size according to retailers. Testers also recommend going with your actual size when ordering these signature basketball shoes from Jordan.

Lockdown. For Chris, the stand-out feature of the CP3.XI is the midfoot strap. “My favorite is probably the strap. It’s funny. It’s been eleven years but I tried to do a strap on the IV’s and we couldn’t do it. The brand just couldn’t do it. So having a strap is pretty cool,” Chris told Sports Illustrated.

The hook-and-loop midfoot strap is designed to enhance lockdown and reduce internal movement. The adjustable strap keeps the foot secure and stable while sprinting up and down the court and making explosive cuts to the rim.

These basketball shoes also have a dynamic lacing system that offers targeted support and a snug fit.

Depending on the colorway, the Jordan CP3.11’s upper is constructed with a combination of synthetic suede, synthetic leather, and engineered mesh (Flymesh). The mixed-media upper is designed to provide lightweight comfort, breathable support, and long-lasting durability.

Chris loves to share his stories through his sneakers. "The thing that I've enjoyed over the years learning and trying to get better at is telling stories," Chris told ESPN. "When you design anything, it's all about telling your story. That's why the brand is what it is. That's why MJ is who he is."

The Jordan CP3.XI have hidden nods to his late grandfather Nathaniel Jones. A Chevron-shaped accent is visible on the tongue, and the same shape can also be seen when the feet are placed together. An exploded “CP3” logo takes up most of the heel while a customized theme celebrates his move to the Houston Rockets.

At the moment, the Jordan CP3.XI is available in three bold colorways.

Jordan CP3.XI “Rocket Fuel” (University Red/Black) - This is the launch colorway and is inspired by Chris’s new team and his fuel to win an NBA championship.

Jordan CP3.XI “Home” (White/Black/University Red) - This colorway comes in a clean white upper with black and red on the midfoot strap. Red accents complete the signature details of the shoe.

Jordan CP3.XI “Taxi” (Black/White/University Red/Tour Yellow) - This colorway sports a full-black upper with contrasting red accents. A taxi-inspired yellow and black midsole completes the theme.
