Good to know

- The Adidas Ultraboost City is a running shoe that is designed to have a responsive cushioning that helps return energy to each stride taken by the runner. One of the technologies employed by the shoe is Adidas’ stabilizing torsion system. This technology is incorporated in the Ultraboost City’s midsole, which uses a thermoplastic unit that is found in the midfoot. It allows both the forefoot and rearfoot to move independently for a more enhanced level of stability.  This also helps the foot in adapting to varied surfaces without straining it.

- For the outsole, the Ultraboost City utilizes Continental™ Rubber. This technology allows runners to tread through various surfaces without worrying about the possible wear and tear of the outsole. This is all because of the level of durability that the Continental™ Rubber offers, which is as tough as vehicle tires. Aside from that, it also offers great traction when running.

The shoe is available in a standard sizing scheme and has a regular fit. The arch type of the Adidas Ultraboost City is normal. The technical elements directly affecting the fit of the shoe are the Primeknit upper, the lace closure that’s employed on the shoe, the Fitcounter heel, and the shoe’s overlay cages.

In order to secure the perfect fit and size of the shoe, it is highly recommended to go through various user feedbacks first, or trying the fit of the shoe first.

The Adidas Ultraboost City employs Continental™ Rubber for its outsole. The same outsole technology can also be found in other Adidas running shoes such as the Adidas Ultraboost 19 and the Adidas Ultraboost 2.0. This technology helps in enhancing the traction of the shoe on varied surfaces and on various weather conditions- may it be wet or dry.

The Ultraboost City utilizes Boost™ technology as its midsole component. The Boost™ technology is claimed to be the most responsive cushioning ever designed by Adidas. This claim stems from the ability of the Boost™ to deliver a soft and responsive ride as it is composed of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) pellets that compress together in order to absorb shock. It also allows the shoe to instantly bounce back to its original shape.

Adidas’ stabilizing torsion system is also integrated into Ultraboost City’s midsole. This technology is incorporated into the midfoot, which in turn, allows the forefoot and the rearfoot to function independently. This increases the level of stability offered by the Adidas Ultraboost City.

Primeknit upper is a knitted fabric that covers the whole upper of the Adidas Ultraboost City. It offers an increased level of comfort as it brings sock-like fit to the foot of the wearer. The Primeknit also keeps your foot well-ventilated, which keeps it feeling cool. The Primeknit upper also allows more flexibility on the shoe, as well as stability and support.

Fitcounter Heel is employed in the shoe for an unrestricted fit when running. This component of the Ultraboost City wraps the heel for increased security. This also allows the Achilles of the foot to move without any restriction.

The Adidas Ultraboost City uses a lace closure system for the security of the shoe when running. This also directly affects the fit of the shoe on the wearer’s foot.
