- The Adidas Terrex AX3 is a breathable hiker designed for outdoorsy folks whose prime objective is to move as quickly as possible on the trail. Part of its game is to protect its users against destructive hazards thanks to its sturdy construction. Its level protectiveness is an improvement over its predecessor—the Terrex AX2.
- Those who own a pair of Adidas Outdoor Terrex AX3 hiking shoes are in for a different grip experience this time around. Unlike the first model’s Traxion outsole, this footgear now has a sticky outsole courtesy of Continental.
The Terrex AX3 from Adidas is a generally true-to-size, low-cut speed hiking shoe for men and women. It comes in standard width in half and whole sizes. Its lace-up closure provides wearers with a quick approach to a personalized and secure lockdown.
This Adidas shoe is capable of latching on to various kinds of backcountry surfaces thanks to its long-wearing Continental rubber outsole. The studs (also known as lugs) peppering its surface enable it to bite into soft-soiled terrain for enhanced traversal security. Hikers are also given increased descent control with the outsole’s heel brake.
It is thanks to the Terrex AX3’s lightweight midsole that trail lovers are able to experience the ruggedness of the terrain with as much cushioning and stability as possible. The material used in its creation is called EVA or ethylene-vinyl acetate. It comes paired with a molded sockliner for extra comfort and support underfoot.
Mesh and synthetic overlays mainly comprise the Terrex AX3’s below-the-ankle upper. It is breathable just like another Adidas product, the Terrex AX2R, For a plush in-shoe feel, its interior is lined with soft textile. Its front end is reinforced with a molded toe cap made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). Its heel, on the other hand, is engineered with a synthetic pull tab.
Completing the upper’s equation is the shoe’s lacing system. It consists of a synthetic lace and combination eyelets.
