This really have stuck true to the basics of what makes it a good lifter - you have some flexibility in the toe, good grip, but they have the solid sturdy base in the heel that it's going to get you that ankle support and help with your mobility.
These shoes are great, they're really good.
For those of you that need a shoe that accommodates all types of feet and has a little more support than typical weightlifting shoes do, you might want to look into copping a pair of the upcoming Reebok CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0.
These shoes are your best option for CrossFit WOD’s with a lot of weightlifting exercises.
It's a hell of a shoe, like I said, I highly recommend them.
I can't really say a whole lot of negative stuff about this pair of shoes because they have served me very well, thus far.
The Reebok CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0 is a weightlifting shoe that is also designed to be an all-around CrossFit footgear because of its flexible forefoot. It shares many of the same technologies used on its predecessor, the CrossFit Lifter 2.0, like the POWERBAX thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) heel that provides stability and the rubber outsole that delivers steadiness and traction.
What makes this pair different from the older version is the use of the U-Form innovation. It utilizes materials that need to be heat-treated to conform to the wearer’s foot shape for a snug and secure fit whereas the CrossFit Lifter 2.0 employs the 3D FuseFrame technology instead.
Rubber makes up the outsole of the Reebok CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0. It is durable to endure CrossFit Workout of the Day (WOD) sessions. It also features a brick-like tread pattern at the forefoot which promotes flexibility due to its numerous flex grooves while the flat surface keeps it stable. The heel is also constructed to be even to keep the rearfoot steady while lifting heavy.
The CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0 from Reebok features a high heel made of the POWERBAX TPU technology. This wedge is 19-mm high and assists wearers in performing deeper squats without experiencing discomfort in their Achilles tendon. The TPU material is made to be durable and does not compress under heavy weight, providing stability while squatting and weight training.
Inside the shoe is a stiff Strobel board. This interior lining was designed to respond immediately to impact to prevent the loss of energy during the heel-to-toe transition.
The upper of the Reebok CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0 is mostly made of a synthetic mesh fabric that helps to aerate the inside of the shoe. The forefoot area is reinforced with a full-grain leather which not only protects the toes but also helps in keeping them contained while doing heavy lifts.
The trainer also employs the U-Form technology. The materials of the upper are designed to be heat-treated in the oven at 200ºC for 3 minutes. The user then needs to wear it for 8-10 minutes before allowing it to cool down for another hour before it can be used. This process makes it conform to the owner’s foot, delivering a truly customized fit.
The footgear is equipped with a traditional lacing system and a pair of hook-and-loop straps. These components permit users to adjust the snugness or looseness of the fit according to their preference.
