The Adidas Superstar Laceless features a slip-on function that gives you ease in putting it on and taking it off and its low-cut structure gives more freedom for ankle movement. As the laces were intentionally removed for this design, it was replaced with an elastic band in its interior that holds your foot in a comfortable fit and keeps the shoe stay on your foot. This unisex shoe is available for both men’s and women’s sizing.

A staple silhouette in the sneaker industry, the Adidas Superstar also holds quite a reputation when it comes to style. Its simple design yet versatile characteristic allows it to keep up with the continuous evolution of style that it has passed on to the Superstar Laceless model. Throughout the numerous decades and with the multiple iterations done to the silhouette, the style of the Superstars continues to display its timeless appeal.

How To Wear The Adidas Superstar Laceless

With the versatility of this sneaker, you can play around with your outfit and stay stylish. Women can go rather chic with a cute crop top and a high-waisted skinny jeans combo or keep it comfortably casual with a hoodie and track pants. It also goes well with shorts and skirts.

Men can go clean and casual with a nice pair of jeans and a jacket over a t-shirt or be sporty with some track pants.

A true classic from the Trefoil brand, the Adidas Superstar is unmistakable with its iconic “shell toe” feature. The rubber shell toe piece of the silhouette plays as the element that defines its identity. But for the Adidas Superstar Laceless, stated on its name itself, its laceless feature is what makes it distinctive among all the versions of the Superstar.

Introduced by Adidas in 1969, the Adidas Superstar was originally a basketball shoe, and it was the Pro Model basketball shoe’s low-top version. But the silhouette has acquired massive popularity and has since been considered as one of the top sneakers that have influenced the present sneaker culture.

Often dubbed as the “shell shoes,” “shell toes,” or “shell tops” because of its distinctive rubber shell toe piece, it was quite an unfamiliar element for a basketball shoe at the time it was released, along with its leather upper material. It made a huge influence in basketball footwear which then led the Superstar as one of the key reasons that the brand is highly-recognized globally.

With the high popularity that the shoe has acquired over the years, it made quite a smooth and natural shift into the streets where it made quite a concrete reputation. In the 1980s, it was one of the top stylish sneakers and it became the signature stage fashion piece for the Run D.M.C. who was a Hip-Hop band. Wearing the shoe without laces was made popular by the band, and they are among the reason behind the huge fame of the silhouette in the streets.

In February of 2020, Adidas pays tribute to Run D.M.C. and they released the Adidas Superstar Laceless. Displaying the timeless design of the original Superstar, the Laceless version intentionally lacks the laces and basically functions as a slip-on shoe. For now, it comes in its classic colorways of the black and the white ones.

  • The Adidas Superstar Laceless is built with a molded sockliner and leather lining.
  • It is reported that the Run D.M.C. and Adidas teamed up for an upcoming collaboration for the Superstar silhouette.
