Updates to Salomon S-Lab Sense 8

The Salomon S-Lab Sense 8 is a trail running shoe that is strategically engineered for those who have neutral foot mechanisms. It said to be delivering the same level of performance and precision when compared to its previous model. The shoe utilizes the new Anti-Debris System. It features the integrated tongue unit and knit heel collar that forms a soft bootie construction. This is significant in securely hugging the foot.

The EnergyCell+ midsole is integrated into the shoe. The primary purpose of this is to provide softer landings. As a result, the maximum energy return is encouraged.

Size and fit

The Salomon S-Lab Sense 8 ensures a more individualized fit for both men and women. With the utilization of the SensiFit™, this unisex running footwear is able to provide a more secure and snugger fit during the activity. This results in more comfortable and efficient running experience.

When compared to the Saucony Triumph ISO 5, which uses the Tri-Flex Crystal rubber compound, the Contagrip® MA is utilized in crafting this running shoe. This component of the Salomon S-Lab Sense 8 provides the right amount of traction during the running session. As a result, the user can confidently start and finish the activity on hard, loose, wet, and dry surfaces. Aside from excellent grip, it also offers long-term durability. This material is built to handle a wide variety of surfaces over an extended period. The same material is used in the Salomon Sense Ride 2.

The ProFeel Film is integrated into the shoe. This sheet is described to be a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that lies between the outsole and midsole. The goal of this layer is to help filter out hazardous materials like rocks and debris. This is essential in protecting the foot against sharp surfaces and rough objects. As a result, stability and comfort are offered during the run.

Along with the ProFeel Film is the dual-density midsole. This component of the shoe combines two foams with different densities. The primary focus of this midsole is to provide excellent cushioning. Aside from this, it also aims to offer motion control and stability.

Together with the compressed EVA midsole is the EnergyCell+ technology. The primary goal of this is to deliver better energy returns without compromising durability and cushioning.

With the utilization of the cushioned textile footbed, anatomical underfoot support and comfort are experienced by the user.

Used in crafting the shoe is the welded upper. This feature is described to be a stitch-free upper construction that offers a glove-like and smoother feel and fit.

Working together with the welded upper is the single-layer mesh. This material lies closer to the foot to provide maximum feel during the running session.

Utilized in crafting the shoe is the water-repellent material. This component of the Salomon S-Lab Sense 8 uses a coating that is essential in preventing water from penetrating and soaking the foot.

The Quicklace system is integrated into the shoe. This minimalistic and robust lace is vital in the easy on and off. As a result, a more one-pull tightening and the individualized fit is encouraged.

Used in this running shoe is the Lace pocket. This feature is meant to provide storage for the laces during the run.

Cradling the foot from the lacing system to the midsole is the sole responsibility of the SensiFit™. Salomon added this feature to provide a snugger and a more secure fit.

A durable, cushioned pad called the medial protected pad is used in making the running shoe. This material lies across the medial side of the instep to provide protection against hazardous material that can be found on the trails.

The sock-like collar is integrated into Salomon S-Lab Sense 8. The main goal of this is to provide both additional comforts during the running session. The collar aids in preventing debris and dirt from entering the platform as well.
