Adidas ZX 2K 4D: Sparked by speed

As a follow-up to the success of the ZX 4000 4D, the ZX 2K 4D is built by digging deeper into the Three Stripes' archive to get more inspiration. Unlike its predecessor that is made entirely of Primeknit upper, the ZX 2K 4D is dominated by mesh reinforced with TPU overlays all over. It is dipped in several distinctive tones, such as Core Black, Dash Green, and the Heatmap Gradient.

Just like the 4000 4D, this sleek and notable sneaker flaunts lattice cushioning called 4D. This futuristic tech was introduced after the success of Boost to provide superb comfort and durability.

What is 4D technology?

Adidas has never been shy of innovating technologies to improve its wearers' performances and comfort. The bold 4D technology is a digitally printed midsole to create a lighter and beautifully designed honeycomb cushioning. It is made with oxygen and liquid resin giving its wearers a guaranteed responsive and bouncy ride.

Adidas ZX series

The Adidas ZX lineup was unveiled in the 80s and continues to be one of Three Stripes' recognizable silhouettes to date. Designed by Jacques Chassaing, each iteration from this series was carefully engineered to suit a specific type of runner. The Adidas ZX was the first to offer Torsion technology and Soft Cell Technology, which paved the way for the ZX's popularity in sports and lifestyle categories.

Since it was unveiled, the Adidas Originals was able to release a rich collection of ZX variations. Some of the most popular ZX sneakers are the Adidas ZX Flux, Adidas ZX 750, and Adidas ZX 500 RM. Fast forward to the current days, Adidas continues to revamp its ZX silhouette by injecting it with modern technologies, such as the striking 4D midsole.
