Skechers Dreamstep - Enliven History
Launched in 1992, Skechers was founded by Robert Greenberg who was a former co-founder of another company called L.A. Gear. In the early 90s, two brands dominated the footwear market with each catering to a specific gender type: L.A. Gear for the women's and Nike for the men's. No single company existed then that successfully provided merchandise for both sexes. This was seen by Greenberg as an opportunity to start a brand that will offer exactly this. Hence he ventured on his own and introduced Skechers.
Some of the brand's first merchandise were utility-style boots and skate shoes, which eventually extended to other lifestyle-based footwear. Today, Skechers is considered the second most prominent athletic footwear brand in the United States in terms of production. The brand has two main categories of shoes that fall under the Lifestyle and Performance categories. The Lifestyle section comprises of models such as Skechers Memory Foam, BOBC, and Relaxed fit while the Performance category includes Skechers GOrun and GOwalk.
One model that falls under the brand's Lifestyle category is the Skechers Dreamstep – Enliven. This pair is specially designed for women who seek for a comfortably stylish and easy everyday shoe. Its upper is made of the Skechers' Knit fabric, which provides an overall ease in comfort and fit.
